There are a number of beaches worth visiting on the North West coast of Corfu, some are within walking distance of San Stefanos some you will need a car.

If you want a more detailed map of the local area and walks then contact Marengo publications via our " Useful Links "menu.

San Stefanos beach!

San Stefanos beach is a long stretch of soft golden sand. It’s very family friendly and ideal as the ocean is shallow for quite a way out, and then gently slopes as it gets deeper. It’s a popular choice for holiday makers and locals but doesn’t seem over crowded. It has a selection of sea front cafes and restaurants for you to choose from and sun beds are available to rent.

 Arillas

The closest beach to San Stefano you can even walk there for a swim. Arillas is very similar to San Stefano in depth and sand and has also a small dock for boats. It is remote, peaceful and very relaxing. Watch out for nuddies at the far end.

 Agios Georgios

One of the most remote spread-out beaches with course sand.  It has crystal clear waters and beautiful rock formations in close proximity to the shore that makes it perfect for snorkeling. A little tip for you - it is also the ideal getaway beach if San Stefano gets windy, as it is sheltered by the peaks that surround it.

 Paleokastritsa

It consists of six picturesque bays with clear blue waters, backed by emerald green cliffs. The cool crystal waters are ideal for swimming and snorkelling.

Kalami

A beautiful shingle beach on the north-east of Corfu, Kalami is worth a trip there for a swim, a snorkel and a visit to the Durrell’s White House!

Kouloura

Kouloura is also on the North-East coast. Laurence Durrell found inspiration for his book "Prospero's Cell" Beautiful surroundings and scenery, pebble beach. You will have probably seen it on a postcard!
