Specialty restaurants

There is such a variety of restaurants in San Stefanos that you’ll be spoiled for choice! These specialty restaurants offer that little something extra such as luxury dining, fresh sea food or international cuisine such as Australian or Italian menus.

Ozzy Oil – Australian Cuisine.

**This restaurant is situated on the road to Arillas opposite 3W’s internet bar. As its name implies this is a real fusion of Greek and Australian foods. The dining area is situated within a beautiful garden and offers a wide variety of dishes including kangaroo. It’s a family run business, with Kerry and Nikos ensuring that their guests are made to feel comfortable and relaxed, with Kerry sometimes even serenading her guests. Once a week they hold a BBQ night consisting of chicken, pork and sausages accompanied by cob bread, potatoes and salad, all cooked in the front garden. These evenings are very popular so it’s advised to book a table in advance. Here are some of the specialty dishes that you can expect to find within the delicious menu;
*Deep fried brie with mango chutney.
*Sweet potato salad with balsamic dressing.
*Ozzy salad – sundried tomatoes, avocado, parmesan cheese and strawberry.
*Kangaroo.
*Melbourne pie.
*Chicken stuffed with feta served with roasted peppers and drizzled with honey.

Mamma Mia – Italian cuisine.

**Located in the center of San Stefanos, Mamma Mia is an Italian style restaurant offering a variety of dishes. They have a traditional Italian pizza oven for a stone baked treat. Also on offer are baked pasta dishes and trade mark Italian cuisine. Its modern décor and delicious dishes offer a pleasant dining experience. You will be sure to find;
*Pizza with numerous toppings.
*Spaghetti dishes i.e. Bolognese.
*Baked pasta dishes.
Beachcombers – 5* quality dining.

** Beachcombers restaurant is situated on the beachfront in the quieter area of San Stefanos, away from the hustle and bustle of the main strip. This classy bistro is the perfect setting if you’re looking for somewhere a little more up market or to celebrate a special occasion with an extensive selection of fine wines and mouth watering dishes. You can sit back, relax and watch the sun set over the beach whilst enjoying quality freshly cooked food. The interior is stylish and modern, all adding to that feeling of a 5* dining experience. Sue and Makis will make sure that your every need is met and you’re sure to leave with a full tummy and a smile on your face. You can expect to find the following tantalizing dishes within the menu;
*Pear, rocket and parmesan salad.
*Bruschetta with basil and tomatoes.
*Pork medallions with blue cheese.
*Fillet steak.
*Perch parcel.
*Fresh mussels daily.

Mythika.

**Mythika is situated just off the main street, next to Town Pizza. Jenny and Leo, who previously ran The Romanza Hotel restaurant, will welcome you. Mythika is a more up market restaurant that serves a variety of dishes including fillet steaks with a choice of sauces so is a good choice if you are looking for something a little more special one evening. The décor of the restaurant also adds to the feel of a quality bistro. It’s a very popular choice for couples looking for a romantic stylish evening with a relaxing atmosphere and impeccable food. You can look forward to;
*Fillet steaks accompanied by a selection of sauces.

Town Pizza – Italian style take away and eat in.

**Town Pizza is situated just off the main street of San Stefanos on the road to Arillas and is run by Stamatis Mouzakitis and his family. As the name implies, it’s a pizzeria that also offers a wealth of Italian dishes, Greek dishes and even some English specialties too such as fish and chips. It’s a popular option for those with self catering accommodation as you can choose to take your food away, or they can deliver to you! There is a pleasant seating area outside the restaurant or you can choose to sit inside. They offer a wide choice of dishes so there’s something to suit everyone, including;
*Pizza with numerous toppings.
*Spaghetti dishes i.e. Bolognese.
*Baked pasta dishes.

**Brouklis restaurant is situated in Arillas left of the cross road as you approach the village center. It is a relaxed and friendly family run taverna serving excellent authentic Corfiot food. Brouklis is one of the longest running restaurants and it’s no wonder with their mouthwatering dishes and spectacular service. Its outside seating area is sheltered by intertwining climbing vines and the interior has been kept in its original design, decorated with traditional musical instruments and old photos. The quality of the food speaks for its self as even the locals choose to dine here. It has a wide variety of delicious home cooked traditional dishes including appetizers such as fresh sardines, courgette balls and cheese pies. Main course dishes include succulent spit roast chicken or lamb, sofrito and many more Greek favorites. Brouklis has a tremendously welcoming atmosphere and Dimitris and his family will ensure that all your needs are met and expectations are surpassed. There is a specials board outside that is updated daily to include many real Corfiot specialties such as;
*Pastitsada – beef in spicy tomato sauce with pasta.
*Sofrito – beef in a garlic and wine sauce.
*Bourdetto – fish in a hot paprika sauce.
*Pastitsio – layered beef and pasta dish

Dionysos – Afionas.

**Dionysos is located at the top of the hill in Afionas, overlooking St George’s horse shoe bay. Its secluded location and beautiful cliff top views offer a unique relaxing setting for your dining experience. Dionysos was the Greek God of wine and good times, so the venue is aptly named! Its menu offers a vast selection of traditional dishes including kebabs, salads and mezes designed to be shared and eaten with fingers, usually consisting of stuffed vine leaves, cheese pies, spinach pies and tzatziki. Dionysos is just a short car journey away from San Stefanos or a long walk for those who want to build up an appetite.
