Brouklis

Where to eat?

Brouklis

The Brouklis in Arilas is located in Brouklis Str 7 Arilas on the road to AG Georgios and is a relaxed, and friendly taverna serving excellent authentic Corfiot food.

This is one of the best and most authentic taverna's we have visited in our many visits to the Greek islands and serves a variety of home cooked Greek specialities.

Go there for lunch and sample the delights of fresh sardines, courgette balls, cheese pies and a Greek salad washed down with a Mythos (or two).

In the evening we sampled the spit roast chicken/lamb, sofrito and the mousaka.

Please look out for the specials board outside which, is updated daily with some real Corfiot specialities:

Pastitsada - beef in spicy tomato sauce with pasta

Sofrito - beef in a garlic and wine sauce

Bourdetto - fish in a hot paprika sauce

This taverna had something special about it, the atmosphere was superb, always very busy in the evening, clean friendly and above all the food was wonderful. The Brouklis is the place where the locals eat!

We originally went there to meet Dimitris a fellow webmaster who runs a local information site all about Arilas www.arilas.com and have been back every year since. Take a look at the website and be sure to visit the Brouklis.
