Other than the locally run supermarkets there are not many shops in San Stefanos and if you want to go on a shopping spree then Corfu town is the best place to go.
Many of the local shops sell beach toys and copy designer goods which, if you shop carefully can easily be mistaken for the real thing. Many will accept the major Credit Cards although they will charge you a handling fee to do so.
Please remember if you want something to take back home please choose a genuine Corfiot product and support the local industry and craftsman.
Other specialist shops are now beginning to appear.
Pedritas Glass Shop is where you can purchase some exquisite hand made glass sculptures including mirrors, picture frames and ornaments.
Phoenicia jewellers has recently opened selling very nice quality jewellery, we always seem to come home with something new!
Corfu Town
You can either get the Green Bus to Corfu Town or hire a car. The journey will take around 90 minutes and the buses run every 2/3 hours.
Bus timetables are published at the local bus stops. One outside the Nafsika, another by the Barras Appts and finally one by the Sunset Taverna.
Please check the time for your return journey otherwise it will cost you 40 Euros or more for a taxi!
