It is probably that old thing called shove the price up to stupid and then bring it down to what you really want, but shout about pounds/percent off. Its the Tesco/Sainsbury method of business.

Although now booked for next June with Ejet and Fedra Mare, i checked 'our weeks' early/mid June and Teresas with Portland still over £500 and in some cases near to £600 for 2 weeks, so i'm still happy. Guess June is v.popular at Teresas for next year. Phew! Thought i'd made the wrong choice for a mo, but no, happy with our booking for next year. 8)

No reductions from the frozen north.
I booked the Romanza for 2 weeks on 18/06/10 back in July from Leeds Bradford  cost 998 pounds for two.Todays prices are 1140 pounds which includes 142 pounds discount.
I also booked the Iberotel Dahabeya Red Sea Egypt All Inc.for 1 week 28/01/10 out of Newcastle for two in September cost 984 pounds. Todays price is 1250 pounds including 116 pounds discount.
It all goes to prove the amount of discount is totally irrelevent. What you pay for your holiday is what really matters.

What Yannis above says is so true!!
The bottom line is what you pay - my philosophy for more years than I care to admit now!!
The way I see it is  - - - - it's a game - I am only interested in the bottom line price, what you pay for any product.
The rest is total Bull****!!

Supermarket BOGOF's - what is the point of a free one - if it's fresh food and you have to chuck it as you can't eat two!!!!

But if you want to go with companies like Thompsons - you have no choice at times - but to play this silly discount game!
The prices go up and down like a yo-yo, different airports etc. different deals.
When you book the price you see is then loaded again - extras!! (I hate this! Just want the price in the first place!).
RobinAire/sleazyjet are two big culprits on the mark-up game as well!!
But no point in getting annoyed - it's a game - understand that and play it well - you can still get a bargain - but it is also a gamble!
Good hunting folks - may the force be with you!

I think Don should come to San Stef next year disguised as a fellow Yorkshireman. He could sit at his favourite bar with a pint of John Smiths Tadcaster Bitter in one hand. The other hand clutching cod & chips rapped in newspaper.( The only way to eat them). To aid the disguise he could be heard to be making a statement dear to his heart. This is only an assumption from what i have read in the forum.
Hear all see all say nowt
Eat all sup all pay nowt
If you ever do out for nowt do it for thisen.
Don get youself back to San Stef even the low life who is bothering you and Sandra has enough sense not to tackle a Yorkshireman adopted or not.
