You are not wrong. Gateshead lad through and through. I am a 5 minute walk from The Angel of the North.

I doubt Rod would have a problem
Rod, beautiful peaceful place, so relaxing too. No blaring music around the pool, have you met Mason?, he is a barrel of laughs, great character, and is full of hilarious stories.Don't think I've met Mason.
Got friends staying there at the moment, nothing changes, top top place to stay. Missing out this year due to health issue, but one day, would love to return.I received an e-mail from Charitini yesterday confirming my transfer from the airport to the beautiful apartments that are Fedra Mare. Can't wait!
There were only 2 Agios Stefanos tourists on the first Jet 2 flight from Birmingham, and that was my wife and IBenson, it did look very quiet. Was it because it was early morning or was no one actually there?
Morning Rod...hope you're ok this morning and not suffering after affects of the 'falling down berry' wine...I was up early. Drove to my 94 year old mother to give her breakfast then did her grocery shopping which mainly consisted of cat food (for her cat not my mother). Took my little dog out for his exercise and then mowed the huge lawn we have. I never worked this hard before retirement.
Thanks geordieborn. I feel when I see my grandkids that I am chastising all the time instead of hugging them and telling stories (I'm great at stories). It's just that my son and his partner seem ambivalent to what is happening to their children.
Well I hope you had some kind of a good evening Rod! It would hiss me off as well, but I do think we have to try to understand "the different world" us older (still over 40 in my mind) folk live in. Just enjoy seeing them.
Karen, we hope you and partner are well. My wife and I have braved a storm tonight for a family birthday meal at a local lovely restaurant, In attendance were my son, partner and three grandsons. All my grandsons were "armed" with their smartphones so the conversation was minimal. We came home frustrated by their lack of communication but we never said anything to cause confrontation. It's not the kids fault, it's the parents in my opinion.
Haha! I quite like being 63...but I can regress to being 20 quite easily...given the chanceKaren, we hope you and partner are well. Thanks Rod, I thought this thread needed balance.Cheers Benson.
180 is NOT open, nothing to do with the virus it would not have opened anyway.
Shame because we liked it there for after beach G&Ts
Sitting here on my sun bed on Agios Stefanos beach wondering what would be different without the current restrictions.Great info Benson. Pleased you are enjoying your holiday. My wife and I are due to arrive on 10th September so these updates are very informative. Is the 180° bar open on the beach front? It used to be Chili Chill.
We only wear face masks when we go into a shop - that’s about 2 minutes every 3 days to buy fresh bread and milk.
The only Taverna not open is Nafsika, yes a loss but not a reason not to come on Holiday
I must say Athens not being open is a bit of a blow but not a reason to not come - there are other bars.
Midnight ‘Curfew’’ - we go out around 7:30pm and have pre dinner drinks in either Silver Star, El Greco or if dining in the older part of the village we go to Kamini.
We usually eat around 9pm and either stay in the restaurant ordering more wine or walk back to the bars around 11pm for the final hour.
We are lucky to have a nice patio outside our villa where, if we want to, can enjoy more drinks and chat with friends.
It’s so close to normal that this is our second visit this year, we came on the first flight in back on the 15th July, it was very quiet for a few days then but has been fairly busy ever since. And we have just booked Delfino Blu for our 3rd visit at the end of September.
Yammas
We can all choose what holiday is right for us. We can go anywhere to get the Sun . But when you can't eat at your favourite taverna or have a late night drink with your friends and back to your rooms by midnight, as nowhere is open, wearing facemasks all the time...I know where I would rather be.Yip, San Stef.
What? A big strong guy like you bullied by a harmless little old man!Just kidding Jimbo, you are lovely. However, your verbal bullying............ ;
I think some people are a bit nervous posting as there are some not very nice people about in the social media sphere.
This forum however is no such pace,we are all friends here, share one special interest and are respectful of each other’s opinions.
