All exciting stuff with people already there and others raring to go! The wind was always a bit of a problem, being cool as Jimbo has said if the temperatures were not high, and when high temperatures coincided there was the risk of sunburn… Still I would put up with it at a push. I still remember Gregory & Evia on the first open night of the Sundowner (Mistral) when the Nafsika was heaving and they were totally empty. I went over to get served a beer and watch the world cup game in peace and comfort. I don’t think the Mistral bit was open at that time, but it was long ago and has changed so much since.

Been very windy for 3 days now and apparently windy again tomorrow. Mistral wind which comes from the north west and is cool.
Not had air con on since we have been here.
Beach has been cleared so looking much better.
Busy with large groups of families from Uk, Italy and Romania. Lots of day trippers too.
The waves restaurant  have put up a chain now so that the cars don’t impose on their patch.
Prices up in food and drink so anyone coming bring extra money.
Thanks for the update Scottygirl and warning ref some extra euros. Enjoy the rest of your hols

Wind has gone and now normal July temperatures although still need a wrap or sleeves in the evening!!
Beach gathering seaweed quickly again.
Talk around everywhere that there is going to be a marina to attract the yaughting brigade. Lots of new apartments being built/renovating so might be looking to the future.

If you are there next week Scottygirl i don't think you will need the wrap! Having a peep at the beach cam and it looks like one of those days where you just know it is going to be hot!!! Saying that the weather forecast is saying only 26c (14:43 Corfu?), reelfeel is 32c mind you.

Thanks Jimbo, although when I try to open the link through my work laptop access is denied as it's regarded as "pornography". Which makes me think what exactly goes on at the Nafsika........ ;D

Stayed there many times and never been ravished, unfortunately. Did get a few hugs on grab-a-granny night, mind you.

I think the rain does not help! Not too sure we would want to be there in that heat at the moment, but "wish we were not here" just now.... Need that bloody jet-stream to move north about the length of the UK!

On balance I think I'd rather be on that beach with a cold Mythos nearby than this horrible non-summer. It's a week since we returned home after having to abort our holiday, since when he haven't been able to sit in the garden once. We've got filthy colds, and I'm still fighting my way through TUI's arcane repayment system. Gillie's spending most of her time in bed trying to keep warm. We are thoroughly fed-up, and the weather forecast is crap well into August.

At least my third book will be finished ahead of schedule!

I'm sure a few on here will have thought of you two and the rain here in the UK. There is a beauty in the rain and the colours it brings to this fair land, we just need to see through it! But yes a bit sun and warmth now and then at the height of summer would be nice as well! Hope the colds go soon Jimbo & Co.

The sea appears so flat today, hardly a wave breaking. Even though its hot, if I survived the Grand Canyon at 47 C I can cope with our beach with a cold one in hand. Enjoy, if you are still there folks.

One of those days to be by the pool by the looks of the wiped out beach cam! Good to see the Nafsika pool busy as I seem to recall it always was in days gone by.
