There's been about 3 different large groups at the Barras over the last 10 days.
Every single one of them has been great.... No taking over of the place and been very respectful.

It was the Italians turn to carry on yesterday. A group of about 20 turned up en masse at Athina pool. They ordered about 2 coffees between them and the kids starting running riot. They then wanted sunbeds but George had to tell them no 3 times!

You can’t count Italians, they are a different breed/class to other groups of tourists. On an empty beach they will come and sit on your towel beside you. Probably only 2 families if there was only 20! At least there would be no problem with the swearing, unless your Italian is good…
We were quite surprised at the number of Italians there as when last there (2007) their numbers had dropped of drastically.

Gav that is interesting,we usually reckon £100 a day most days.

When we were there some louts broke the lift in Little Prince, yanked the door off.
They knew who, they were caught on camera but Demetri said he wasn’t going to push it.
We go in May for three weeks and September for two, never been in August.

Gav, you’re spending €130 a day this holiday because your starting drinking at 8am, instead of your usual midday. Just a thought.

I can't believe somebody on holiday would damage property. We go to have a relaxing time and enjoy ourselves. Surely people don't think of it as enjoyment doing things like that on holiday. Maybe I have lived a sheltered life. We arrive 22nd September for 2 weeks and can't wait now it's getting closer.

This is our 2nd stay at Barras. We were originally booked for the Kappy but after staying here in May we changed it for a more central location. It's a great place.... The family are superb and the food is great. They do amazing lunchtime pizza!
The Greek night is superb and I'd urge anyone to give it a go

Quite agree. Turns out we were sat on table next to you, Gav, I didn't work it out until I saw the pictures that you were taking. Maybe next time, I'll lean over and say hello.

We've spent last few days exploring and days out.
Corfu Town; As incredible as I recalled from 30 years ago. However, back then I came out of season. This time it was very hot and much busier. Would recommend for anyone to visit.
Aqualand: Really enjoyable day. 2 New slides installed since 3 years ago with another planned, so they seem to be investing. Good for any aged families.
Agios Stefanos: This North East pretender is not a patch on the NW version. Seriously though, unless you have lots of money and want to be seen spending it, I can't see the appeal in staying there. But that's only my opinion, it's still worth an afternoon visit.
Kassiopi. Beautiful. Well worth a few hours and a meal round the harbour side.

Last couple of days Will be spent relaxing at the pool or beach.

Here's to next year.

Well we spent yesterday on the beach. Lovely beds outside Mango. Very comfortable!!
Sea was warm and welcoming

We both felt rough after Greek night at Manthos. What an excellent night. Food and atmosphere were great

Last night we ate at Zorbas for the 2nd time this holiday.
Had 2 more great meals. The entertainment from Pavlos was 2nd to none. No Konstantina though.... Don't know where she was!
Horse racing royalty was in Zorbas last night.
Paul Smith and trainer daughter Amy Smith were there celebrating a birthday.
He owns Kalashnikov which is quite a famous horse

You mean Paul and Amy Murphy don’t you? I remember backing it at 20/1 when it romped home at Newbury early in its career. Was on it every race after that.

Great sight at the nudy end of the beach. About 40 Germans - mostly women, mostly young - from the Ashram near Arillas dancing about  beside or in the water, clad in whispy New-Age togs. They were there doing it for ages.

They all seemed blissfully happy! Bless.
