Woodman:
Hi, we arrived today and the beach is in a really sorry state towards Waves and where the bridge was (it's gone too). There's now a wall of seaweed between waves, Manthos and the sea which going to take weeks to clear. With half term next week, a lot of new visitors to SS are going to get a really bad impression of the beach, which will be such a shame.  The seaweed spreads as far down as. Mango before it stops.

hippopots:
Yes Tony, we're by Spiros bikes, please come in to say Hi, it's really nice meeting everyone!

A lovely sunny day today, started a little bit cloudy, but that soon cleared by lunchtime, leaving us with a beautiful afternoon, and a gorgeous sunset.

With regards to the beach, there is still a lot of seaweed, thanks to Mother Nature, but it is being cleared....we saw two truckloads being taken away today!
The bridge is removed at the end of the season for winter.....the stream changes course and size with the different weather conditions, so it wouldn't stay in place.

The beach beyond Havana is lovely and wide, and hopefully the seaweed issue will be gone soon.

Lots of people enjoying different entertainment tonight. Mistral was pretty busy, as their Greek music night proved popular. Condor guests were enjoying a Motown tribute, and there were people strutting their stuff at Bar 38's Latin dance night. Nice to see such a variety of entertainment, and of course there's plenty of other bars if you just fancy a quiet drink.

Lesley:
The beach to the right of us here at Vicky's is clear and today the water-sports guys look like they are trying to get the platform loaded.......

Gavlah1973:
Will pop into Hippopots when we're over in July. My little boy used to always stop and wave to the dog last year when he went for a cheeky lunchtime pint at Glenns!

Lets hope that beach gets sorted out asap

Lesley:
Looking over the wall of Vicky's and yes the platform is now in place. The sunbeds and umbrellas outside Mango are almost full as well.
