An overcast day, but everyone keeps saying things are hotting up this week.
The wind has dropped completely, and this evening the sea was like a millpond, just lapping gently at the shore.
The unseasonal weather did unfortunately bring with it a huge ammount of seaweed to the beach. This happens every winter/spring and usually this is all cleared by now, but due to the weather conditions, it has been held back. No point clearing it all for another huge ammount to re-appear the next day.
However, this evening when taking the dog for a walk, I viewed the beach from the slipway in front of Fantasea, and work has started on piling the seaweed up with the JCB, with the truck parked up ready to take it all away. The beach north of Havana has had no seaweed problems, and has been nice and wide, and soon hopefully the whole beach will be it's usual glorious self, once the after effects of Mother Nature have been removed.
Jules:
Thanks for the updates on the beach :)
