Sunset Greek Party

We say Greek Party rather than Greek night because that's what it is a party. Professional dancers are hired, plates stacked for smashing and lighter fuel lined up to set the place alight.

Many members of the family join in and Spiros usually dances between taking orders for your meal. The music is turned up the lights turned down and the night begins.

The dancers start the evening with a few show dances, dressed in local Greek costume, the floor is set alight and the dancers introduce themselves  to each table.

Now its your turn!

You will be invited to dance in a group for a number of dances. Some in a circle, others in a line and one a bit like the "locomotion".

Time now to be embarrassed! An individual will be invited to get dressed up and show off his dancing skills, usually with the reward of a free drink.

Then its the ladies turn to climb onto the table top and dance with one of the young male Greek dancers.

Throughout the evening the dancers will show off their own special dances smashing plates, picking up the table with their teeth and lighting up the floor.

Spiro's dad Vassilis, usually lights up a cigarette, balances a glass on his head and completes the whole dance without spilling a drop!

At the end of the evening a few party classics and the chance for a smooch!

What a great night, be sure to book though when its busy or you will just be watching from the road.
