Big Disaster!!
After all my hype - I broke my NETBOOK PC, Dropped it - no screen now!!
Using the Gladiator as I promosed I would!! I won't be online much now until next week!!

A boy nearly died on the beach today, drowned and was given CPR - brought back!!
Albanian father went to sleep and left the kids to it - big waves today!!

I forgot to say - We saw Don and Sandra on the beach last week
He was wearing some very CAMP red trainers - looked like cycling shoes - and SOCKS!!
There is now a new cocktail call "Socks on the Beach" in the Thomas Bay in his honour!!
SOCKS on the beach - come on Guys - give it to him!!

I hope the boy is ok. Just shows you can't take your eyes off them for a second. It's really not worth it. Well done to whoever gave CPR as well.

the first few days we looked at the sea the waves were bad so stayed round the pool as roy can swim but not very strong

Been for a few paddles but wouldn't chance swimming in the sea with only one usable arm.

Awe ... shame about your PC screen - mine's just about hanging off. Laptop needs replaced now!

Shame also about the boy on the beach - parents should really be alert at all times down there. Something similar happened a few weeks ago but to an older man with a very sad result. Unfortunately no lifeguard on site at the time I believe!! :o

the older man was staying at the thomas bay it was the week before we went he had a late pick up and went down to the beach and went for a dip they think it was his heart

This beach is as safe as it gets when calm, but when the winds blow up and the surf runs, it has to be used with caution!
Strong undertow, ripping back out to sea.
Another incident happened the day after the boy's one.
Brother of the delfino Owner got into trouble and had to be rescued by Spiros from the Havana Bar,
help in also by the Lifeguard once he noticed!!

Re my Netbook, something major there, screen not working, but will show on another monitor!
However - won't boot either, so looks like hardware fault.
Car also giving grief, expensive repairs coming up.

Latest news is that we really are suffering withdrawal symptoms. Cold turkey is not the way to go. We may have been there for 21 nights and been back for 2 but it seems like forever!
