Just seen on the BBC that a ferry has caught fire near Corfu and they are rescuing passengers-says off the coast of Erikoussa, so presumably near us (SS, you know what I mean!!)

according to ERT , Greek national tv, there are 12 people still missing, 2 lorry drivers are yet to be taken from the ship, there is info about another 14- but thats not confirmed. We have helicopters flying over, local ferry Pygassos is also envolved in the rescue actions since early morning hours. Thank God all other passengers are safe and either on Corfu already or now being brought here. Fortunately the sea is quite calm and weather conditions are good.
