I had a Uranos on the beach once, but it was a bit "tap on, tap off" because people kept appearing out of nowhere and I had to pretend I was taking pictures of the cliffs.

Where do they get the mud from Dupinica? Sounds like fun!

Nice one Jimbo!

That's right Dupnica, it's called the Ouranos Club.  Bunch of weirdos if you ask me.  The wife and I can sit for hours in the Gravia wining and dining watching the world go by and obviously paying our way for the wonderful food, drink and scenery, when the Ouranos mob turn up sometimes in pairs, take up half the Taverna and spend about 5 euros for most of the day.

Really anoys me!  (can you tell?)

Rod - If you're that annoyed Buddhism may help!

But I know what you mean.

I can picture the Ouranos mob, but still can't picture Kostas. Is he a fisherman out of season? Where else did he work apart from Nafsica? Is he the guy who used to drive an Audi A3? Answers on a post card please.

Ouranous Club is owned by the owners of The Athina Hotel and rented to a German travel agent.

I didn't know that Waspman.  Good info.

Cambridge, Kostas and his brother Yiannis own/run Gravia with their mother busy in the kitchen.  Kostas rides a huge black motorcycle (dont know makes of bikes).  Apart from being busy at Gravia, Kostas will sometimes visit his pals Yiannis at Yiannis grill and Spiros at Beer o' Clock.  Always on his motorcycle I may add.

Kostas is also a great friend of Andreas from The Romanza Hotel and can be seen there often in the late evening.

Gravia, in my experience, is a very German-patronised place. Many are from the Buddhist centre, which amuses me because I find the concepts "German" and "Buddhist" a tiny bit hard to reconcile.

Must say we prefer Akrotiri, which is prettier and has views over Agios Stephanos as well as Arillas.

Dunno is you've noticed, but it's very hard type sitting in the lotus position. Ouch!

Peace and good Karma to you all.
And in spite of losing a couple of stone in weight and having a new hip - an impossibility for me - so I'll just watch the Lotus people
Happy Days in Agios Stefanos, Avliotes, Corfu!! TonyCo1

Lesley, can you tell us the name of Kostas girlfriend please (for the card and baby present)?   Also, we arrive 24th June.  How old do you think the baby will be by the time we arrive?  Thanks.

Thanks Lesley, much appreciated.  I always used to joke on with Kostas about him not "tying the knot" and I used to threaten him by saying I was to be the Best Man.  It's something else I can kid on with him now.

I can confirm Kostas wife is called Maria and their baby girl will be 7 months in June.  (As is tradition here the baby isn't 'officially' named until the baptism)
