We noticed last week how full the sunbeds were, but there is a stretch of beds that aren't out (not sure who's they are as we don't use that end of the beach). Also the tide was in a lot of the time, so sunbeds appeared a bit squashed up.  The beach at the far end was much wider this year, so there were many more people down there.  We had a fantastic time, as always and met many people from previous years, which is always great!

Nice and sunny again  8)
Slightly less humid than of late, which made it feel comfortable today.

Managed to venture a little further today, if slightly tentatively!
I was brave enough to take doggy to the beach this evening, and too be fair he didn't drag me along quite as much as usual!

Many out for dinner tonight, then some heading on to bars to watch the world cup final, and some heading back to accommodation, probably to try and avoid it!
Just about every bar was showing it, and our bar of choice to watch it tonight was Condor.
I reckon there are probaby a few jublient Germans around!

And in true British tradition, now its finished, many people have headed straight to Tasty Cormer, Lubranos, and Yiannis to finish off the evening with a gyros!

Great atmosphere in the Nafsika bar for the final. Shame it went to extra time, as we all had to buy more drinks!

A slightly cloudy start to the day, but still nice, hot, beach weather.

Had chats today with Jimbo and Mrs Jimbo, Waspman, and Gavlah, who was not looking forward to leaving this afternoon, and is already counting down to returning in September!

Just taken a short evening stroll. Thomas Bay bar busy tonight, athough it is changeover, so people coming and going. There's a very good singer in El Greco tonight, a guy with his guitar, by the name of Duffy. Had a good voice, and there were a fair few people there enjoying his music. Not someone I've heard of before, but he was pretty good to listen to.

Well, today started with a thunderstorm waking up a fair few people at around 4am this morning. Quite a bit of thunder and lightening, lasting for about an hour.
This resulted in a rather overcast day, but still pretty hot, and also dry. Aparently it was very wet in South Corfu today, and there was flooding in Thessalonika on the mainland, the result of an unusual July storm passing through the Balkans, so we got off lightly!

Back on the mend, so I managed to walk as far as Fantasea this evening. Glad I did, as, despite the cloud, the sun had broke through, to provide a lovely sunset and cast an orange glow over the village. Despite it being a little breezy, all the tavernas in the older part of the village were doing quite well this evening.

Back to the more expected sunshine today, and no more thunderstorms....horray!

The village seems quite quiet during the day at the mo, but having seen how few quads and scooters both Spiros and Pegasus actually have left, I think I've worked out why! Nice to see that people are out and about exploring this lovely island.

Just been for a later than usual walk tonight. By this time most tavernas are finishing up, with just a few diners left, but the bars are still warming up. Bar 38 had ive music tonight, and was quite busy.

One of the many things that makes this resort so special is how safe it is. Hubby stopped in at a friends bar this afternoon in a different resort just a short bus ride away, and they were telling him how this year they've had real issues with drunken behaviour, and vandalism of their signage, by drunks of various nationalities.
We've just walked all through the village, and all we've witnessed is people having a relaxing drink, and enjoying themselves. No drunks, no agressivenes, no hassles......  :)

That is one of the biggest things for many people that we don't get bad drunken behaviour and vandalism. A happy resort in all aspects  :)

It's why people keep coming back.
It's also good to read What's Happenin' in the village. We can all associate with it?

Another lovely day, afew white fluffy clouds looming over the mountain inland, but here it was nothing but glorious sunshine all day
Hubby took the dog for a walk along the beach this morning, then climbed up the track towards Romanza, to walk back down the road. Unfortunately he didn't realise the path went straight in to the Romanza, so had to do a quick skirt around the pool with dog in tow....oooops! However, he did say the pool was pretty busy, and that the hotel restaurant was advertising the delicious sounding spit roast chicken for tonight.

This evening  on my walk I bumped into Waspman and Mrs Waspman just leaving Bar 38, and heading to Yiannis Grill Room for dinner...hope you had a good meal.

Still quite a lot of people on the beach tonight at just around 8pm, and some still in the sea. And the sun was setting a glorious orange down behind the islands....beautiful!

Hot and sunny again, although a little bit of a breeze did pick up this evening.

Had some friends arrive today, fo their first visit to Greece, so gave them a little guided tour around the village this afternoon. They were impressed with the menu prices, and are looking forward to trying some Greek dishes, although thay have also put 'having a Cream Tea' at the juice bar on their list too!

Still plenty of coaches coming and going this evening, which we could watch from our vantage point whilst having a cocktail at Silver Star. Acabar quite busy tonight, with people taking advantage of their pool table, and plenty of people milling around finding their bearings, with school hols just starting there are quite a lot of family groups arriving now, and I think some may be first timers, who will hopefully enjoy the resort as much as the regulars!

A very hot start to the day today!  8)

Very little cloud in the sky, but a little bit of breeze again as the day wore on heped to make the temperature more comfortable.

Now we have friends here we're getting the chance to spend  a little time doing holiday things, and this evening we joined them at Condor Bar for the Tom Jones/Robbie Williams night.

We often get to hear the singing from our shop, but have never actually been to the bar whilst he's on, and he was quite good at getting the audience involved and up for a boogie!
