Hi, we are visiting San Stefanos for our first time in 5 weeks time.
Looking at a boat trip with San Stefanos Travel and wondered which would be the best option:

MATHRAKI & OTHONI
PALEOKASTRITSA
ERICUSA ISLAND

I myself like the thought of Mathraki trip, though my girlfriend isn't a great boat person and maybe this would be a bit too much.

Any thoughts?
Thanks

Having done them all I would say Paleo. The ones to the islands are nice trips but when you get there, there is very little to do on any of them. There is certainly loads to do in Paleo although it is a also a tad more expensive than SS!!

Thanks for the tip, sounds like a good idea as guessing the boat doesn't get out to deeper waters.
Looking forward to it...just a bit!  ;D

We are thinking of the Paleo boat trip and the one to Corfu town via San Stefanos travel. I am not brilliant with boats but these are two I fancy doing now.

There are others that sound good but dont want to spend all our time out of San Stefanos so we thought maybe a couple would be a fair balance - althkough I would have liked to go to Kassiope during the day too - does anyone know if there is a bus from SS to Kassiopi?

3 more sleeps and we will be on our way to the Tereza!!!

Trip to Corfu town is nice. But in this hot weather the town will be pretty unpleasant.

We really enjoyed all the trips.
I would do the MATHRAKI & OTHONI trip myself - good boat trip - you stop in Sidari as well to pick up and drop off.
We found enough to do - a drink in the taverna / lunch etc... a hike around the area or sit on the beach, quite pleasant and some nice things to see.

I would do PALEOKASTRITSA by coach or car where you can get the wonderful views from the side of the mountain - before stopping in the town.

I like the PALEOKASTRITSA  by boat as a second option where they drop you on the harbour and you hike into the town centre.

ERICUSA ISLAND - again in / out Sidari and views of Canal D'Amour, ERICUSA itself - some lovely Tavernas - nice sights etc if you like walking,
but it would drag a bit if you don't like walking too far. Quiet.

NO boat trips are going from Ag Stef, because the harbour is silted up with sand. But it's a short ride to Sidari in San Stef Travel's new mini-bus, and the driver is guaranteed to be beautiful!

If you ask local people about the harbour they shrug in the same fatalistic way as they do when you ask about the by-pass.
