Delfino Blu
« on: July 24, 2012, 11:22:12 AM »
Has anyone here eaten at the Delfino Blu restaurant?
Some people staying at the Vicky in June went on their last night,
and were full of praise. We'd like to try it, and
I was wondering if they have a dress code?

There is no " dress code " anywhere really, but smart casual is great for anywhere here.

Just be yourself and comfortable - leave your diamonds at home.
No seriously shorts and tee shirt for breakfast and top / smarter shorts or dress for dinner. Not a lot of people get really dressed and the roads are no good for heels - trainers are best.

Anything to dressy is uncomfortable in this heat and i feel make up is out as is perfume , the mozzies love it.

                HAVE A GREAT HOLIDAY

Thanks,

I was thinking more about Duncan, as I suppose a maxi dress would be fine for me.
Duncan doesn't take long trousers with him, so would be wearing shorts.
We will give it a go, according to the ladies we spoke to, it was best meal they'd had all holiday.

Iris.

As long as they are the knee length chino or cargo type shorts with a smart polo shirt I reckon he'd be fine

Delfino Blue has a website so you could also send them a quick email to double check.

I took your advice, Lesley, and sent an email on Thursday.
So far I've had no reply, so we'll just have to wing it, and hope we can get in!

Went to delfino for my birthday , 27th July and we all had the set menu, 5 courses for 22 euros and it was fabulous from start to finish. We wore maxi dresses and guys long trousers. What a hotel! It gets better and better. Staff are wonderful, nothing is too muh trouble and this goes for mango bar and the amazing bed man.  The owner, most as is everywhere - a master clas in customer service.

Haha! That's exactly what happened to us when we went! Scarpered PDQ (ok, maybe not that fast with a wheelchair but we tried) and were never tempted back. Total contrast to every other place we have visited during five visits!

I think if you want to look around this hotel, go straight to reception and ask, otherwise they suspect you are an interloper after a free sunbed!!
however, I can't understand why the Delfino staff just don't start the conversation off with  - - - "Can I help you?", before frightening off prospective clients.

I have now heard quite a lot of reports like this.
