I'll use one of the many FX on line companies to get my Euros.

But you do need to be aware that using your debit card to pay for them may incure bank charges, the same as using a debit card to pay for euro's over the counter.

The best way to do it is to use internet banking and transfer the funds to the FX company, should be able to get 1.25 ish with no charges and free post over £500 as Jimbo says.

I'm off to spain golfing with the boys the week after I return from Agios Stefanos, going to change £3k to cover both trips and with the euro at 1.25 I'm almost getting my beer money for Spain free compared to the bad old days of £1 for 1.01 euro  ;D

FairFX is 1.2379 today and you get FSCS protection unlike many of the others.

Some banks to NOT charge for debit card payments for currency any more. I found this out when I bought recently from IcePLC - so I know that Halifax don't charge.

Online at the Post Office today (6 July) the Euro is 1.218 (for transactions of £500 and over), free delivery to your local post office and best of all no charges if you use a Post Office credit card. Also the Post Office card doesn't have any transaction fees if you use it abroad so a good emergency card.

3 weeks today from Norwich - can't wait!

TravelFX is 2.1240 this evening. Worth an order real soon, I reckon. The price of Mythos is dropping by the second!

FairFX 1.25 today, is FSA protected and can use debit card to pay avoiding charges, free delivery over £750.
As Jimbo stated earlier many banks no longer charging for currency purchases with a debit card. I have just checked with First Direct who have confirmed there is no charge. Have been playing the waiting game, but now tempted. The million dollar question will it keep on rising?
