Birthday Cake?
« on: June 27, 2012, 01:47:25 PM »
Its my daughters birthday the day after we arrive, I know there is a bakery but does anyone know if they have a cake of sorts, I cant remember seeing any last year. It doesn't have to be a proper birthday cake (she is 23 after all!!) ::) or does the supermarket have any cakes.

I'm sure Lesley, or Sally at San Stefanos Travel will know everything there is to know about cakes.

If that fails, you can get nice big puddings with sparklers at Little Prince! Take your own balloons, though...

Depending on where you are going to eat most places will get a birthday cake in for you and present it after the meal for a small charge.

thanks for your replies, it's good to know I have options, I thought we would have to make do with a sugar doughnut out of the supermarket and a candle! :)

As Jim and R/J/N have said, it's easy to get a cake as long as it's not asked for on the night.

We once had an anniversary cake, when out there, via our friends - nice surprise!

Yes depending on where you are staying especially if they have a pool bar they can order you a lovely choice from our village in Avliotes which would be delivered to you alternatively decide where you are going to eat and they would do likewise, the cakes here are very yummy........

We had our anniversary whilst at the Romanza. I told them it was our anniversary before we travelled so they could arrange flowers and champagne.
We had our meal there on the evening and after the meal all the lights went out and i thought we were having a power cut....lo and behold they came out with a cake we both knew nothing about complete with sparklers and a bottle of champagne on the house!!!

Id suggest picking a restaurant two days in advance and taking some balloons with you. Ask for a suprise cake for the end of the meal...Im sure they'd oblige!
