traveller cheques

Hi All not long now we fly out at 8.50 am Monday 30th from Gatwick :) can anyone tell which is best on the Traveller cheque front euro or sterling
Thomson say euro but have lost out before by not taking sterling.

We always take sterling traveller cheques as I find you get a better rate abroad than in UK.

You can change them in Hotels as well as Travel Agents and also in Maria & Pele's shop!
