I have to agree with you all. I have only just found this site and it is very informative. There is always someone who will know the answer to your question on here!  It has certainly got me in the mood for my 7th holiday in San Stef ( 2 more sleeps)!!  The banter on here just shows the type of fun people that keep returning to this lovely friendly village! :)

To celebrate my 5000th post can I add that this site is always informative but is so much more than that as it the sum total of all the people who use it. Thanks everyone for the fun and information you give.

I quite like S'Georges Bay myself.
Arillas is now too narrow a strip of sand.

S Georges beach is lovely and so different from SS.
The beach is quite pebbly and the sea drops very sharply. There is no gradual long shallow walk in like at SS.
It is also sooooo much colder you would not believe!!! There are also more water sports if you are into them and lots more Germans than in San Stefanos.
If you do go there visit Maria Snack Shack for lunch. Its on the beach road. She does the most amazing rolls and other snacks too.
