Hi Tony
Sorry for not keeping you up to date on this subject.I wrongly assumed that you of the all seeing eye would have all the information from Waspmans postings starting 16th July 2009.
I apologise for not realising you are now of advancing years and your short term memory is failing.
It just goes to prove.
Never ASS-U-ME anything it will only make an ass out of u and me.

I remember the Apartments now, just short of the Moros Apts but on the other side of the road and painted white and blue I think!!
Just past (& Opposite) a private villa entrance.

Wow thanks Tony, those photo's are amazing. I noticed the Athina was not built back then. I also remember the owner of the condor from our last visit and does'nt he look youthful in your photo.
I am not a member of facebook but thanks for the offer.
Thank you so much for all your help.

My pleasure - one day soon, when I have time, I'll sort through my old corfu photo collection and scan more in!

Not as far round as the Fedra.

They are plain white painted.

Beautiful appartments indeed but, is there a demand for high spec now.Notice that most of the new builds seem to be going this way now.

We decided to check out the Delfino Blu while in San Stef last week. In all the years we have been visiting San Stef we have always been made welcome everywhere. Not so the Delfino Blu we only just managed to reach the main entrance when a British female 'rottweiller' came running out and very rudely chased us saying the hotel is for residents only and no one else is allowed past the main reception area. We may have been potential customers but she didn't bother to ask. We were totally humiliated!!
My advise to anyone considering a holiday at Delfino Blu is---DON'T.

They don't like you walking up the stairs from the Mango Bar, either. Distinctly police state atmosphere!

We went and a nose round while we were there a couple of weeks back.  We went early evening and there was no one to stop us going in.  We did notice that there was a sign at the pool saying it was for residents only which i thought was a bit off.  You are normally welcomed at all pools in Corfu as long as you buy a drink!

Its a funny one this pool thing.

When we were in Kefalonia a couple of years ago we had no problems finding a sunlounger.....even up to dinnertime. It was also a really tranquil pool area.
We had a couple of days in the middle where every man and his dog wondered in and plonked themselves on sunloungers. They bought a couple of drinks all day and that was it. They had around 8 kids with them and it turned into a right bunfight!! I'm not the quietest myself and I dont mind people enjoying themselves but when you're getting soaked from people whilst laid reading your book it's different!

The hotel we stayed in had it's own chapel and conducted weddings. You'd get a few of the wedding party stopping at our hotel but others staying at cheaper apartments etc. They'd turn up and spend most of the time round our pool!!

I guess it's a nice romantic notion to throw your pools open to all but it can have big downsides and p..s off your paying guests!

Delfino has always insisted it's a cut above the rest and the pool is for strictly residents only -
this is the only Hotel or pool that does not welcome anyone, as long as they buy drinks/food.

Some years back we used the Mango and went to the loo upstairs.
The Bar manager then was the rudest man in town, and put many off using it.
Seems you met his wife!! - -  - LOL

Certainly did Tony. We weren't even intending to use the pool or facilities just request a look but we didn't get the chance. They should put a notice at the gateway stating Residents only or 'Enter at your peril'!!!!
