There's something about walking on a beach out of season which takes some beating imo though we have to travel for roughly an hour to see and walk on a beach. Always worth it though.

We lived for more than 30 years 10-15 minute walk from the seafront at Whitley Bay and for the first 15-20 years hardly went at all - idiots! After that we went almost weekly, but only out of season as it was so different. It was most odd the few times we had snow on the sand. There must be a wonderful feeling in SS for those that work and live there as a season (and work) ends for a few month. Do hope they all enjoy their well earned rest.

Well that’s us until next year I guess! Maybe book a winter break somewhere ! Xx
