Jim of course you're not a failure, short of staying indoors forever, anyone of us can catch the virus, as I did a month ago, may have caught it at Tescos! Fortunately John didn't get it, which I'm pleased about, as he is vulnerable. You're obviously doing a grand job, looking after Gillie. Hope you both improve soon. Karen x

Oh Diane..so sorry to hear about the loss of your Mum..it is sad when you lose them, isn't it. I had a similar thing with my Mum in 2016. She was taken into hospital and I too wanted to go home..she did last until we eventually got home. You will have a lovely time, as always! X

We haven't been for 3 years and we love Condor for the music and dancing. They did however normally close the doors about midnight, so it wasn't too much of a nuisance, to most. I feel midnight should be a cut off point for turning down the music , albeit we wou!d be having a nightcap at Athens, about that time. We like to eat at Nafsika, in the evening as it is quiet so you can talk to each other!

« on: May 29, 2022, 12:52:40 PM »I finished reading the book last night and I loved it, it has given me a couple of weeks of happiness during a tough time watching my father succumb to the final stages of Alzheimers disease. It has made me smile and helped me off to sleep on nights when i have lay awake.
I wouldnt have known about the book if you hadnt mentioned it on this forum so thank you Jim x
