Jimbo

Let me remind you of your posting on July 21st 2010 regarding The Mythica Restaurant:
We thought the Mythica was excellent, good food, friendly service.

We too love The Little Prince, but then again we don't stay there, as you do.

Sorry for any punctuation errors!!

A long walk up Cardiac Hill, but The Romanza takes some beating for its fantastic food and the best sunsets over San Stefanas (take your camera)

Check out The Romanza Villas (www.romanzavillas.com)

We've been there and they are fantastic, 3 double bedrooms, bathroom and shower rooms on each of the 3 floors, state of the art kitchen, living room, games room, sauna, private swimming pool and much more.

Situated behind San Stefanos church overlooking the bay and about 30 metres from the beach.

Mythica is fantastic, typical Greek food, perhaps you need Egyptian food Cleopatra.

This applies to Nationwide “Flex Account” customers only and come into force on 1st November 2010.  It introduces a 2% loading for European currency (it was 0%) and 2% for worldwide currency (it was 1%), so a spending of £100 will cost you £102.

Currently, using ATMs (and using a Nationwide credit card) in Europe costs nothing, from November it will cost £1 per cash withdrawal (plus the above loading fee).  On top of this, you'll be charged around 2% per month interest on cash withdrawals even if you repay the card in full, and a 2.5% fee each time you use an ATM.

Anyone who has its (Nationwide) debit card purely for taking on holiday needs to ditch and switch and get a cheaper debit card for holiday use.

NOTE THIS DOES NOT AFFECT THE NATIONWIDE CREDIT CARD WHICH STILL REMAINS AS ONE OF THE BEST FOR USING IN THE EU WITH NO LOADING CHARGES (AT LEAST UNTIL THEY DECIDE TO CHANGE THAT TOO)

So Sezza if you're going next week, you have no problems.

Sezza, you'll be better off using the Nationwide credit card for restaurant payments unless you have the Nationwide Flex Account debit card which I believe is the only debit card that does not impose charges.

See Nationwide details from their website:

Commission-free card use abroad
We are the only high-street provider that doesn't charge you commission if you use your card abroad*. Some competitors charge up to 2.75% for buying goods or services and withdrawing cash abroad.

You’re absolutely right Yiannis.

This topic was started by Rover, a Newbie, requesting info on the Romanza breakfast, but has escalated out of all proportion and descended into chaos.

Some members just cannot see and understand the repartee that goes on between other forum members who have become good friends through their meetings in SS (as we have).

Some humourless members can’t read between the lines, can’t understand “tongue in cheek” remarks and appear to treat everything far too seriously.  Others appear to want to have a say on all topics simply to boost their “posts”

Banter plays its part on the forum and without it about 70-80% of the postings would disappear.

To date this topic has been read 1123 times with only one detrimental posting on the breakfasts.

So Rover, the ayes have it in this case, go to The Romanza Hotel and enjoy your breakfasts.
