TC1, my mate from Saffron Walden (now slightly retired) was HV Cable Manager or some such for LUL and operated out of Stockwell. Remembers his horror stories about the Underground and the infamous Lots Road substation.

7 weeks Friday, holiday paid today, and yippee, flight goes ahead from Norwich as it is virtually full. ;D, so 30 minutes door to airport.

There appears to be no better in SS these days as you pay commission and that wipes out any trifling rate improvement you get above the UK.
TC1 please wash your mouth out with carbolic, lowering the tone(cough) by mentioning the blasted G word. Emigration anyone??

Fly from Norwich late afternoon, so will be about midnight when we get there. Two swift large Ouzo's at Tsaros if the pool bar is open and then bed. At least I think that is what will happen, will not know for certain until we go to Thomson by the 13th and pay.

I am due to fly in 8 weeks and have put off buying any euros because of the pitiful rate. Could anyone getting any please give us the heads up as to the rate and from whom. I thank you.

I guess that Don's reply #4 would match my biggest hate. Heels and scraping chairs/beds around on hard Greek floors means the entire block gets serenaded.
