Hi riojabear, I did take some photos, but quite a few were blurry, possibly due to me leaning out of a bar!  ;D
Also, for all my postings on here, I have no idea how to add photos!!

I'm not sure if you use flickr for your photos, but I find it far more useful than sharing photos by the usual social media accounts.  Within the sharing options is a bbcode option (which is the square bracket code used when adding things like the above quote on this forum).  Just copy the bbcode from flick and paste it in your post here.  Flickr is free with some limitations.  I have a pro account which allows unlimited uploads and storage for £24.95/2 years.

The following photo was taken at Agios Georgios last year at Dixtia Taverna: http://dixtiataverna.com/default.asp?PageL1_ID=3

The weather wasn't great for the carnival Dupnica, a little drizzly, but it didn't dampen anyone's spirit!

Got any photos of the carnival you could show us?

A very chilly San Stef at the moment! Yesterday there was a really cold wind, which thankfully has dropped today. Still cold, but lovely and sunny too, so not all bad!

After the waves covering the beach for the last couple of days due to the windy conditions, today there was some beach back. Bod had a little walk on it, but even he wasn't going in the water today, just a quick hop through the stream, which is currently meandering its way to the left, towards 'Waves'.

All quiet in the village, think we're all in hibernation during this cold snap!

Still sounds beautiful. Nothing like "owning" an empty beach.

San Stefanos news and views / Map of San Stefanos
« on: January 15, 2016, 06:08:00 PM »
I know some people like to find their own way and explore when they get to a new place.  Having kids I need to have a good idea where things are before I get there.  I haven't been to San Stefanos before and I can't find a decent resort map on this forum or online anywhere else.  So I've created a new online map here: https://www.google.com/maps/d/viewer?mid=z5HnXECn4evQ.kiAiiCr43kPY

If the admins feel it would be useful, then they can embed it anywhere on the site.  I plan to update it and improve it as I get closer to the holiday.  It might be nice to show say, supermarkets, locations with wifi etc. etc.  If anybody has any information on any of the locations I've placed, please respond on this thread or send me a message.  If I've mis-located something or you have something to add, I'll need the longitude and latitude values to add the pin.  To do that go to a "normal" Google maps page, right click the location of the thing you want to write to me about and select "What's here?" The long and lat values are the numbers at the bottom, just cut and paste them into your message.

I hope the map is useful to new and existing members.

I recently joined the forum using a gmail account.  Either gmail doesn't like the look of the sending email address or the content of the email and placed the confirmation of membership into the junk/spam folder.  Because I couldn't access the forum initially, I tried to reset my password a couple of times and the password reset emails ended up in the same place.

New sign-ups should check for this, maybe a more prominent message for new users might also be useful.

Information and help please / Drone Cam footage
« on: January 13, 2016, 12:47:57 PM »
Hi, last year my family and I visited Agios Georgios.  It was my first visit to Corfu since I was 25, when I went to Kavos.  I don't remember too much about that first visit  ;) so last year through sober eyes I was able to see the beauty of the Island, particularly the NW region.  We visited Arillas, but managed to get lost and visited a chicken farm instead of San Stefanos.

As ever whenever I go somewhere new, I "Google Frenzy" and try to turn up as much as possible about the place I'm visiting.

I've read through the forum and haven't seen any reference to Corfu Films on Vimeo.  So I thought I'd share the following drone cam video, apologies if it has already been posted:
