Apparently, the new bridge on the beach, has been badly damaged by last nights storm.

Have read elsewhere, that Beer O Clock is closed for good. The buildings owner apparently raised the rent, and its just not viable for Spiros to carry on, sad times, lovely food there.

Sad day for all who have booked, worked or are on holiday with the above. Another travel company sadly bites the dust. Spent many holidays with them, cant believe this mornings news 
. Hope all folks currently in the village, who travelled with them, are able to get home safely soon.

Spent many more days here than ever before, stunning beach. Lots of hard work been done to make it so beautiful, especially up near Mango bar, our favourite spot. Paid a visit to the turtle nest, everyone respectfully keeping a good distance from the site, expected to hatch October time, lets hope no storms do damage to the nest. The beach was very busy, folks enjoying themselves, no loud music blaring, a pet hate of mine, made and met many new friends too, had a few lunches in Mango, fabulous place with lovely food. Next year cannot come soon enough, enjoyed it more than ever

Well, we went back in last week, a little apprehensive after our last visit, as we felt a little bit cold shouldered. What a fabulous difference, met at the entrance with a warm greeting, and shown to a beachfront table straight away. Menu arrived without asking, and we ordered dinner, I wont go into detail as to what we had, but my word, it has to be one of the best meals ever in the village, simply amazing food, served by the most friendly staff, we left gobsmacked 
. Definitely going back to Manthos, a restaurant with a view to die for.

Where to stay / Fedra Mare.

Fabulous, peaceful, spotless and well maintained apartments and studios, with the friendliest helpful owners Dimitris and Harri. Stayed here again for another two weeks, and enjoyed every day, and night in their company. The pool area is immaculate, cleaned every morning, first thing, whilst most are asleep, this area is also used for breakfast and lunches, all cooked by Harri, and served by the handsome waiter Angelo. The rooms are cleaned every day, towels changed, beds made, and toiletries left when needed, by the maid Bora, an expert in towel sculptures, had a swan one day, amazing. The bar is open early morning until 1.00 am, and drinks of all kinds are available, served by the owner Dimitris, a guy who enjoys a good laugh or four. The apartments are on two floors, an upper bedroom and toilet, with loads of cupboard space, and a fabulous balcony, the lower floor has the lounge and kitchen, with various utensils, again with a balcony. Fedra is a top top quality place to stay, booked again for June 2020, cant wait

Simon - This forum was more or less dead when the Facebook groups started so that people could upload pictures of their dinner and cats. Some of us have tried very hard to keep it alive. It's great when new people join. It's great when there's some discussion. Many of us have made friends on here, whom we've met in the flesh in the village. We try to help with any questions that arise, and sometimes we disagree. That's life.
Well said Jimbo, your comment about dinners and cats had me in stitches, so so true.

WOW !, apparently, a turtle has laid her eggs on the beach this week, the area has been roped off by the police. There is a video doing the rounds somewhere online, how amazing is that .
