We are just back from visiting family in uk and cost us €1.12 to the £....was last may since we where over and have noticed a rise in prices of various items.but also noticed more British products available...or are we just dreaming?

Yes Dupnica.They put a lot of effort here in Belgium to learn languages.As Belgium is bordered by France and Germany its classed as a mother tongue along with Dutch as we live in East Flanders, an yes English is a world language..
It makes a big difference when you can communicate in another language and the locals appriciate you make the effort even if its not perfect..

Yes age is against you when learning a new language..spent the last 3 years 2 mornings a week learning Dutch.Not an easy language especially when sat amongst  Turks, Morocans, Bulgarians, Slovakians, Syrians , very happy to have a Phillapino who spoke English..
Now i teach my 3 year oĺd grandson English as they will learn french , english and german at school plus their own mother tongue..Puts us Brits to shame.

Had no wild life this year at Peli&Marias...usually the snake is slithering around but didnt see it..no hedgehogs to be seen and no owl..just the happy house martin family on the wires..
 Was a wild tortoise wandering around at our studio in Gardenos but thats about it

Ok cambridge..thanks for info..always enjoy a nice beer but not had much experience of Italian beers.as you passed through Italy your more qualified than me..off to Germany at weekend for 5 days, staying not far from Bitberg, a town known for its beer so will have to test a few out..

Sounds like an expensive day out if you take guided tour..120euro for 2..we had a car for 3 days and 2 nights accomodation for the same price in august..

Sorry we missed your 80s night, was looking forward to going..even had some dracmas for the bar..sadley my wife was brought down by a bug that was going round the village, quite a few locals and tourists were suffering with it...
