I'm guilty of using FB, it's just more instant when I can get news and chat to people on my mobile rather than having to be sat at my computer but I do like a good old nosey on here every now and again!

Where to eat out in San Stefanos? / Re: Breakfast....
« on: May 25, 2017, 08:49:25 PM »
Thanks Aline!  ;D I've been coming to San Stef almost 30 years but apart from the occasional breakfast at Akrotiri its been a long old while since I've been up at down that hill with any regularity!! Lol Tsaros was one of the first places we stayed and I always remember getting dropped off by the coach at the bottom of the hill and Nikos throwing our suitcases in the back of his pick up while we clambered in with them and driving us up to the apartments, before the pool and bar were even open!!

Ill have to stick my head in and say hello when we arrive x

Where to eat out in San Stefanos? / Breakfast....

Hey guys just a quick question... We usually stay at Fedra Mare but this year are up in Angelos Apartments (think that's how you spell it!). Does anyone know if Tsaros does breakfasts for people who aren't staying there?

I've been to The Waves a couple of times and always make a trip to Little Prince at least once, but a different dynamic to the holiday this year so was just looking for suggestions (and Tsaros is pretty much over the road if I'm not feeling particularly energetic!! ha ha)

We had the 'ceremony' in the gardens of the Margherita Suites because they have the wooden pagoda(?) next to the beach, and then the reception at Beachcomber.

Sally from San Stef travel was amazing. The forecast for the day we were meant to be getting married was really windy and so she met with us and suggested we bump it a day (where in England would let you move your wedding date with a couple of days notice!) and so we had it the day after (the official ceremony still took place in the town hall on the original date). It was well worth moving the date we had absolutely amazing weather, we sat outside to eat, went to the beach for sunset pictures, had fireworks, the works. I'm sure it will be amazing and great memories to have! x

This makes me so sad!! I'm not able to go to San Stef this year but my mum is there at the moment and said it is quite grim down the main road through the village. It would be such a shame if people were visiting for the first time this year and were put off by this. I'm wanting to take my new partner there next year and he isn't really one for returning to a place once visited but I'm hoping I can persuade him otherwise as I grew up having my holidays in San Stef, and after 25 years of visiting can't bear to think that I would never return! Hopefully the locals will club together and tidy the place up soon

So sad that I will be missing out on my San Stef 'fix' this year but will most definitely be reading the updates over the course of the season and have already started making enquirers about availability next year!  ;D

Where to eat out in San Stefanos? / Re: ozzy oils

We visited Ozzy Oil when we were over there last week and although the food was lovely as always the atmosphere was definitely lacking without Kerry there. The staff members were polite enough but I must agree everywhere else are so eager to greet you when you walk in and shake your hand as you are leaving but there was none of this. Won't stop me going back though.

Love the Old part of the village people don't know what their missing

I agree Dibully we have always stayed around this side and although I do like to venture to the newer end every now and again, the old part is where I feel most like home. I must confess though I haven't eaten in the Hotel that is now Fantasea since Minas and his family had it many moons ago but after seeing all the comments made on here I think I will have to make time for it this year  ;D

My son us getting married in San Steph in July and we were offered dynamite, I suggested fireworks might be simpler!

Andy

We got married in San Stef last year Andy and had the fireworks, it was certainly a spectacle, a strong breeze set them all off at the same time and although my guests were impressed I think the rest of the village thought they were under attack!!!
