We're at Little Prince from the 6th May. Does anyone know if the cocktail bar opens for the season at the same time as the hotel?

Thanks! I now thing the Tsaros block actually extends to that road:

Watched the link and seems the apartment in the video is the one above Vagellis' bungalows formerly known as "Vassillis up and down". Don't think there's any path between the two hills Jim.
You'll love Thanassis. a more warm and genuine bloke you couldn't wish to meet.

Great reading your report Jim. I can only endorse both yours and Debra's comments about the Nafsika and the older part of the village.
p.s  don't think you look like Jeremy Corbyn!

Where to eat out in San Stefanos? / Re: fantasea
« on: June 02, 2015, 06:56:28 PM »
The Fantesea hadn't opened when we were there in May but had some lovely meals there last year. Even at the end of July though there were never more than three or four tables occupied. Think a lot of visitors are unaware of the number of quality restaurants in the older part of the village. I've seen lots of people walk as far as the junction near Summer Dream then turn round and go back up the hill.

Flying from Manchester Carl, however just checked and its now £398 each so feeling quite pleased we booked when we did. That's Thomsons for you.

We were at the Fedra last year the same time as you, know how much you love it there as do we. As Dupnica says there are some great deals with Thomsons  if you drop lucky. We've just booked a week at the Nafsika in May for £232 each, less than £70 per night for the two of us half board, incredible value.

Information and help please / Re: EasyJet 2014

Hi Waspman. The easyjet price promise is ok in theory but the discount on future flights has to be used within six months. Our £51 discount code expired three weeks ago and next years flights went on sale yesterday. Oh well!

San Stefanos news and views / Re: car hire or taxi ?
« on: July 29, 2013, 02:38:05 AM »
thanks,
will have to give it some thought about whether i want to drive in the dark, dont mind if i know where im going but from previous experience greek roads are pretty unlit especially when off the main routes. Will wait and see if anyone who has driven the route gives me feedback.
Hi Alan.  I had the same reservations as you as our flight didn't land till 10.30pm this year. I've driven from the airport a couple of times previously but the drive through Corfu town when you've only just picked up the car is quite stressful. Last year, even though I thought I knew the route quite well, things look quite different at night and we ended up getting lost in the olive groves, somewhere up in the hills.
A good solution might be to do what we did this year. We booked a taxi from the airport for 55 euros, arriving in resort only just over a hour after landing and hired a car from "Corfucarrentals"  for the last four days of the holiday. The car hire was 136 euros and we dropped the car off at the airport. This arrangement worked out really well for us, hope it gives you something to think about.

Out and About / Re: Car Park
« on: June 06, 2013, 07:36:59 PM »
The beach is much narrower than last year (though it is improving), so cars are parked further along towards Waves.  I think the parking area was marked out last year but seems a bit of a free for all at the moment. Its been busy last couple of days on the beach, the free sunbeds outside the tavernas are in great demand.

Jaxbubbles..... have passed on your regards to Hari and Dimitri. As the thread says... 5 star.

Hope you get fixed up for end of july. We're at the Nafsika first two weeks in august.
