Hi Carolg,

There is a Blue and Green Bus Service and no doubt someone will post more info but the Green bus passes through San Srefanos and there is a Timetable on the bus stop between the Thomas Bay and Barras Hotel (or atleast there was when we were last there)  :)

Hmm, this was what worried me. The reliability of the Service. Quite fancy going to other areas nearby for a meal and explore but worried about the Bus not turning up etc. Oh well, you only live once eh  ;D

Out and About / The Busses...
« on: May 16, 2016, 10:48:47 AM »
Hi all, so we have been returning to San Stef for a good few years now and done all the trips. We were thinking about braving the local busses (green and blue) to visit near by parts if the Island. We tried this a few years ago and it was an experience shall we say  :o

I know there was a timetable at the stop near Thomas Bay but has anyone done the trip in to Sidari and back and found it ok ? Or what other areas have you visited using the infamous bus service ?  ???

Completely agree! We tend to go up near the cliffs where it is quieter and although last year we did'nt go to San Stef (first time in years) I do remember stray crisp packets and stuff. To be fair some rubbish may be washed up by the sea but yes, definitely not as clean as other parts. I will be visiting a week today so hopefully a clean up has been undertaken  ???

Where to stay / Thomas Bay - paying upon arriving!?
« on: April 10, 2016, 12:01:49 PM »
 ???

Last year we were browsing booking dot com website and saw the option to book Thomas Bay - Bed and Breakfast. Seemed a good deal as we normally eat out in the evening. This was the first time i had heard of this as normally the Greedy swines at Thomson buy up the rooms at the Hotel and you have to buy the package holiday through them.

Just wondered if anyone else had came accross this before as we got cheap flights and saved a bit of cash doing it this way  ;D

Where to stay / booked a 'thomson' hotel.... by not using Thomson lol

Morning all. Just wondered if anyone else has managed to do this as I was not aware this was possible. After spending ages looking for a room at Thomas Bay that didnt include paying through the nose to the travel company who seems to have monopolised 80% of the resort.

Anyway, i was going to give up but found i could get a room (bed & breakfast) for a week at the Thomas Bay. Wasnt aware this could be done and by being savvy with flight prices (from scotland) it looks like i will be saving over £300  ;D

And yes i know with the package holiday you get all inclusive but we always eat out when in San stef so brilliant deal!! It pays to shop around  8)

Brilliant. Thanks Karen that has put my mind at ease a bit lol. Do you know if the rooms have a TV ? No mention of this on travel agents site. Not a massive issue but would be good lol 8)

We are staying here in a couple of weeks so will be able to provide info when we get back (and pics etc). 1st time we have not stayed in the Thomas Bay so we are slightly apprehensive but so long as we have a balcony overlooking the pool I will be happy  ;D

Hey folks.... So Myself and the better half are returning in a few weeks (After a break last year). We are staying at Stamatis and arrive on Friday 16th. Its My Partners Birthday on Sunday the 18th, He is now a full year on the wrong side of 40 hah.... and I can't seem to find anything good to do (Like trip to Corfu town at sunset or something different). I have tried san Stef and Agni travel etc but seems Corfu on a Sunday afternoon stops lol.

Any suggestions ?  ???

Hiya folks,

Got up this morning and it was grey and dull and horrible. Jumped in the car for work and RYAN ADAMS - WONDERWALL came on my ipod. It Instantly took me back to San Stef when James and I were sat sipping a Mythos as the sun set whilst this song played from the speakers. Was such a relaxing time......

So - what songs take you back to San Stef then ? (And none of this "we're all going on a summer holiday - Cliff Richard" nonesense  ::) ) lol
