Hi

i want to rent a Jimny/Vitara jeep for 3 days when we are out there, i have quotes from San Stef Travel and from Valantis, both at 165 euros. 55 a day seems a bit steep, i can rent something similar in the UK for the same or less.

Are there any other companies?

That's good to hear thanks.

I've just found out that there are no fridges in the rooms which I am pretty gutted about. We like to keep water and even the after sun in there.

Does anyone know if you can hire fridges from an outside company in the village?

Hi

I just thought i would see if there was anyone who has stayed at, or been to the Thomas Bay since the season started?

I have just emailed them asking about prices for air con, safety deposits and fridges, just waiting on a reply.

thanks

Hi,

If there is one already and i have missed it then i apologise, but i would like to see a map of SS, perhaps one that has been produced by someone that shows the location of all the hotels, places to eat and the bars?

When we first started to go to Kalamaki the 'justzante' website had something like that and i wondered if there was anything similar for SS?

Thanks in advance

Where to eat out in San Stefanos? / Re: Nikolas Taverna, Agni Bay?

Oh, not to worry.  I am just about as terrible as it gets when it comes to geography, map reading and directions!

I put into google the two addresses and it reckons about 30 mins drive? Anyway, we will see what happens.

By the way, i should have said already but my name is Luke.

thanks!

Where to eat out in San Stefanos? / Nikolas Taverna, Agni Bay?
« on: March 27, 2012, 03:02:21 PM »
Ok, so i have asked about the hotel and about any special festivals, markets etc, so now its onto the most important part, the food.

I have been looking at the website for Nikolas Taverna, Agni Bay.

It seems fairly close and looks really nice.

Has anyone been? Is it recommended?

I have sent the owners a message but have had no reply, maybe it is closed during this time of the year.

The info on the website says that they do transfers from San Stefanos.  If this is the case does anyone know where they pick up/drop off and is there a cost?

thanks...

Hi,

My wife and i will be in San Stefanos at the beginning of August for 2 weeks.

I wondered if there were any specific events, festivals, markets etc that we could plan for during our time there.

All suggestions welcome.

Thanks.

thank you all very much for the information.

luckily we had booked a balcony room so hopefully it will all work out ok.

we are not fussed about sea views, of course they are nice to have but as long as we are not facing the dining room i think we will be content.

Where to stay / New to SS - Staying at the Thomas Bay

Hello to you all,

I have been looking around the site for a few days and thought I would join up.

My wife and I have booked to come to San Stefanos for the first time this year and we will be staying at the Thomas Bay Hotel in August.

This is not our first time to a Greek Island; we have been visiting Zakynthos for the past 12+ years, most recently staying in Kalamaki.

I would appreciate any information for 1st timers to SS and more specifically on the Thomas Bay Hotel itself, the reviews on the internet (mainly Trip Advisor) are varied, it seems as though the room you get can make a big difference to the holiday experience.

Low floor, facing the dining room = bad holiday
High floor, facing the pool = excellent holiday.

Also, the time of year seemed to affect the reviews. Those who stayed in the peak seemed to give the best reviews (which is good for us), but those who stayed later in the year (2011) suggested that standards slipped a lot.

As I said, any and all thoughts, opinions and facts are welcome...

Thanks.
