San Stefanos news and views / Re: Taxi’s
« on: January 21, 2024, 11:57:36 AM »
We booked a taxi a couple of times via San Stefanos travel. We wanted to go to headland as friend has breathing problems. We booked it day before for 9am. Also booked taxi with them to pick us up from harbour after a boat trip. Only five euros each time. Great service.

We stayed there last August with Tui. It was a last minute bargain. We had a middle floor room. Entrance from the back with a flight of stairs. We watched the sunset most nights which was very impressive. The room was adequate for two of us. Comfortable beds, the kitchen had everything we needed. The bathroom was fine. The apartment was clean and tidy. You can Email Elisseos before you go. He will get you shopping, especially heavy stuff and have it in your room before you arrive. I have a video of the room and stairs if you want me to send them to you. The owner and family very lovely.

Where to stay / Re: Nondas
« on: July 17, 2018, 09:25:22 PM »
The shortcut is up the hill by Marie and Pelli shop turn right at the end of concrete path then left. There used to be a little step ladder to help you over a wall which brings you into the cottages in front of Nondas. However the people that bought the cottages put up a wire grid and took away the ladder. But you can still climb round the grid a bit tricky but if I can do it then it can’t be too hard! Sally from Nondas told us to use it.
No bistro this year at Nondas.

Great news Nondas bistro is reopening this year,  They have a new facebook page that Sally from Nondas sent me yesterday.

I couldn't find a web page for them yet. Elpida's Bistro is the facebook page.

I have copied a few words from their page for non facebook people to read.

'Welcome everyone!
We are very excited to announce the reopening of Elpida's bistro this summer season in the picturesque town of San Stefanos, Corfu.
With a creative new breakfast, lunch & evening menu for the Bistro we are looking forward to seeing all our familiar & new faces.
 See you all soon!' Sally.

I wish them lots of success and a busy season.

Sally from Nondas posted the new facebook page to me yesterday. I have copied and pasted a few of the lines on the page for non facebook people to see. I looked for a web page but couldn't find one.

Ryan Air have Edinburgh flights in June on a Saturday. In July they have Saturday and Tuesday flights.  Our flights cost £400 less than Thomsons and that's each. Last year they didn't bring out their full flight info until the middle of November, so maybe they'll add more Prestwick flights.

Where to stay / Re: Olga
« on: October 06, 2014, 10:05:08 PM »
We've stayed at the Olga twice and staying next year. The apartments are clean and tidy. The kitchen is seperate from the bedroom with everything you need and a little dining area. Its not up any of the hills, which is a bonus. There is enough room at the pool for everyone, but it was never that busy. Very peaceful, we never heard music from the town. The family are all lovely, a great place to stay for the money.

Where to stay / Re: Towel mafia at Romanza....
« on: August 10, 2014, 05:50:31 PM »
I think the Fedra mare are quite right in having their pool private. It's a lovely place with a beautiful pool. I would me mad if I had paid for a hotel/apartment and couldn't get a bed at the pool because people who didn't stay there were using it. We have never came across this anywhere we have stayed in SS and hopefully we never do. As for putting towels down first thing I think it's the managements fault for letting this happen. We were at the algarve one year and the manager went round at 10am and put the towels that weren't being used in the reception.

Information and help please / Re: Ryanair cabin luggage
« on: May 17, 2014, 11:41:35 PM »
Ryanair now allow a smaller underseat cabin bag too. No larger than 35x20x20. Can't find one and Ryanair don't advertise any of their own.
Sandra we used Ryan air last week. I looked everywhere for a second bag and eventually got a lovely handbag that's the correct size made by Jane shilton Out of TK  max. Only cost £25 and I used it on holiday as well. Only trouble is hubby won't carry it!! Our carry on  bags were from Amazon. The make is 5 cities. We have used them several times and no problem at airport.
