QR Codes (Quick Response code) are used everywhere, they allow quick access to web pages for example. They are very good for things like seeing things like an establishments menu's on your smart device.

When you arrive you'll see that the address is of no matter, especially in a small village like Agios Stefanos - they don't even look at it.

If your code starts with the number that triggers a test for that day then off you trot for a throat swab.

Been twice since July and going again in 2 weeks time staying in delfino blu - corridor or no corridor  ;D

Found a newly uploaded video of San Stef on Youtube last night-it included footage of the Vicky pool so when Greece closes the doors me and DH can lie on the floor looking up at the screen and pretend we are there!  :'( Its by Pete Marks if anyone wants a look. It looks like he was on the first plane when Corfu reopened!

There were only 2 Agios Stefanos tourists on the first Jet 2 flight from Birmingham, and that was my wife and I  8)

Great info Benson.  Pleased you are enjoying your holiday.  My wife and I are due to arrive on 10th September so these updates are very informative.  Is the 180° bar open on the beach front?  It used to be Chili Chill.

Thanks Rod, I thought this thread needed balance.

180 is NOT open, nothing to do with the virus it would not have opened anyway.
Shame because we liked it there for after beach G&Ts

Sitting here on my sun bed on Agios Stefanos beach wondering what would be different without the current restrictions.

We only wear face masks when we go into a shop - that’s about 2 minutes every 3 days to buy fresh bread and milk.

The only Taverna not open is Nafsika, yes a loss but not a reason not to come on Holiday

I must say Athens not being open is a bit of a blow but not a reason to not come - there are other bars.

Midnight ‘Curfew’’ - we go out around 7:30pm and have pre dinner drinks in either Silver Star, El Greco or if dining in the older part of the village we go to Kamini.
We usually eat around 9pm and either stay in the restaurant ordering more wine or walk back to the bars around 11pm for the final hour.
We are lucky to have a nice patio outside our villa where, if we want to, can enjoy more drinks and chat with friends.

It’s so close to normal that this is our second visit this year, we came on the first flight in back on the 15th July, it was very quiet for a few days then but has been fairly busy ever since. And we have just booked Delfino Blu for our 3rd visit at the end of September.

Sorry but if we are being honest forums are dying.

It’s old school social media. If you don’t use Facebook for anything else then at least use it to keep abreast of what’s actually happening in the resort right now this instance.

Yes pictures of food does not do it for me but most of the time posts on FB are relevant and interesting, and you can can get involved.

This forum will not exist in 2 years time. Those who disagree need to buy a smart phone 😜

Have  to confess to never having eaten there in all our years of visiting San Stef.

Eating at Nafsika is NOT like eating at the other hotels like Athena or Thomas Bay, think of it like a Taverna the same way Lirttle Prince and Barras  seem to be. Those have rooms with a nice restaurant, if more people thought of The Nafsika as a taverna with rooms and not an hotel, then I’m sure they would be full most nights.

Possibly - but, at it's best, the food at Nafsika is outstanding.

And this year we thought it was back to its very best, food, service and ambiance.

We are Jim, thank you. Everyday pretty much runs into another. Still hot today but bit more of a breeze. Jim, you may remember the young waiter at Nafsica, last year. He has come on leaps and bounds, his English is very good and he is very attentive. He is a great asset to Spiros :)

Totally agree, seems his apprenticeship under Spiro has paid off

Where to eat out in San Stefanos? / Re: The Night Owl
« on: May 15, 2019, 03:31:28 PM »
Thanks Benson. You have just solved our driving at night argument. Probably just stay in village for 2 weeks and use all our favourites but also try the new Mythos. Barolo and whatever the old Chilli Chilli will be. Any ideas what is happening there?
Just out of interest, where did you stay and eat 30 years ago?

Always in the Nafsika back then, other restaurants we used were Manthos and Sunset

Nice place and like Gav said pork chop is very good, but I’ve had just as good if not better pork chop in beer o clock.

We try lots of places just outside the village but let’s be honest you don’t need to venture out, 14 night holiday we struggle to eat in all the great places in the village. I have had just 1 bad meal in over 30 years of going - I won’t say where 😁.

I’ve not stayed at the hotel but have stayed on that road - it is noisy, but the hotel is a bit further back from the road than my apartment.
