Where to stay / Tell me about the Athina's rooms

Looking to book for next year-our first trip since the Vicky was snatched from us! 
Steve has stayed at Thomas Bay before and wasn't keen, so we are looking at the Athina. Do the rooms have fridges? We were totally spoilt at Vicky (quite apart from the TLC from Lesley 
) in that we had fridge, cooker and all kitchen facilities. I have to say NOT having a fridge would be a game changer for me!

Has the Vicky been tarted up and reopened by whoever bought it? Just curious as I understood it was going to be marketed at the Russians!

Just seen on the BBC that a ferry has caught fire near Corfu and they are rescuing passengers-says off the coast of Erikoussa, so presumably near us (SS, you know what I mean!!)

Where to eat out in San Stefanos? / Yiannis Grill

Has Yiannis Grill moved? We found a new video uploaded on Youtube last night of SS and Arillas and there was a Yiannis Grill that looked like a big 2 storey building-a bit like the old Beer O Clock building-has it moved there? We've never eaten there but every time we passed last year it seemed to be full so they must be doing something right!! Or was the one on the video in Arillas? We don't know Arillas at all so couldn't be sure!

We have recently found 2 separate youtube vids about "an abandoned hotel in San Stef" and when we watched it, it is definitely our San Stef not the other one Where is it-is this opposite Aspas where all the moggies get fed? When was it open ? We don't remember it was open at all!

Which is the best way to walk to Akrotiri from the village? Looking at google maps, there appears to be several "tracks" from the village, plus a road opposite Town Pizza-which would you recommend ? Factors to bear in mind are : I whine a lot when I'm hot and hate to walk up really steep hills!

Found a newly uploaded video of San Stef on Youtube last night-it included footage of the Vicky pool so when Greece closes the doors me and DH can lie on the floor looking up at the screen and pretend we are there!

San Stefanos news and views / Little bridge

Have those lucky few amongst us who have made it this year noticed if the little wooden bridge is rebuilt over the Mississippi on the beach? It was a real nuisance last year if we walked from the Vicky down the beach in the evening to eat-as I am a little short-arse I can't stride (and certainly can't jump!) over the river so ended up with wet feet in several of San Stef's finest eating establishments!

Have they changed this so adults need one each? I completed one a couple of weeks ago and I'm sure at the time it was one per household. Steve has now pointed out the Gov.uk says one per adult so I have to complete his too!

Hello everyone, we are looking to sneak out for a week at the end of September this year, although unfortunately the Vicky isn't available so we are looking at Barras. What is the weather like September into October? Is San Stef shutting down by the beginning of October-will this year be different? Sell us on the idea!

Some bad fairies flew into our house in the middle of the night and stole all our European travel plugs. The local Wilkos doesn't have any in stock and its too late to order from Amazon as we go at the weekend-Hubby reckons the supermarkets sell European travel adaptors-is this true? I can't remember seeing any (however we never looked as we had several-seriously have no idea what we did with them all!)
