Where to stay / Paralia.

Located next to Delfino Blu, these suites are fabulous, we stayed one week in the Island suite for Mrs Winkies birthday. Admittedly, they are expensive, but for a special occasion, like ours, they are an amazing place to celebrate. Fully fitted kitchen, separate walk in rain shower and loo, toiletries included, and large comfy bed. Outside, is an incredible patio, with loungers, table and chairs, bali bed, and your own private pool, and the best of all, the view of the beach and sea. We booked with Booking. Com, but you can book with Kostas, the Condor owners son. Downtairs, is the Joia pool and bar, again, this is an amazing place to lunch, drink and swim, and a lovely beach view.

Now apparently been renamed Atina or similar. Serving breakfast from 9 am and dinners from 5pm, with drinks available too.

Opens tomorrow May 27th, a great spot for lunch and drinks, people watching hot spot too  8).

I wonder if the new hosts will continue with the Greek dancing, a big crowd puller every night. I wish them well, be interesting to see if the menu changes too.  :)

........on your arrival, what is the first place you visit ?. For us, its the supermarket for milk, coffee, and a few beers for the fridge  ;D. Then a wander to see what's new in the village, and meet up with our friends later.

Out and About / New builds.

Apparently, lots of work being carried out in the village. Little Prince boutique hotel, making good progress, work the new build on the hill above Kamini, and apparently, Athina hotel, adding more accommodation to the side where the new villas are, all go for the new season ahead.

C,mon peeps, so sad to see this wee forum going down the swanee  :(. I'm guessing FB etc , has taken over for posting your thoughts on the village we all love. What about your favorite memory, best laugh, favourite food, beer or wine served in the village, your must visit place, the church, the beach, your favourite walk, shop etc. So many members, so few posting now.

Disappointed to see a fair amount of toilets in some establishments in poor condition. Some with no toilet seat, grotty bowls, broken cistern handles, no flush, no soap , overflowing paper bins, etc. I know these places get a regular amount of visits during the day and night, but surely a five minute check every hour or so would be no hardship.

Had breakfast twice in the Barras, excellent full English, tea/coffee, orange juice and toast,8 Euros.

Where to stay / Sugar and Almond.

Just home after spending a week in these amazing suites. Up an incline opposite SS Travel office, the suites have two bedrooms, two loos, wet room and shower over bath, massive lounge/ diner, with amazing views over the village and beach, two balconies at front, and two smaller to rear. There are four suites in total, each with secure access, spotlessly clean, and smell so fresh. The owner is Pepi, she is so welcoming, and nothing is a bother to her, peaceful location too I must add.

Stayed here for a week, absolutely spotless, and fabulous hosts. We were in one of the new suites, they are amazing, large double bed upstairs, with large balcony, walk in shower and seating area downstairs, fridge, work station, and smaller balcony, mozzie screens on each door too, a bonus. There is a bar, which serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, a pool with loungers all around, to catch the sun all day. Consider this hotel if you want to be a little further away from the centre, you will not be disappointed.

Folks, what are your thoughts on places and people, playing music whilst you chill by the pool ?. It is a pet hate of mine, I'm there to relax, not listen to others taste in music. I have even seen folks watching  a film on their phones, with the volume screwed up, on a flight  >:(. Wear headphones or earbuds, be considerate to others in your surroundings.

........when are you going, where, how long ?. We are hoping to get back this summer, wee health issue, but fingers crossed we can visit our favourite Greek village at some point.
