oh nooo....here we go again.....another thread......thats going to rear off the scale!
Sorry to offend naughty....no malicious intent was intended!
It was just one of the many incidents in S.S that made the holiday a holiday to remember for all the right reasons  :). Lots of funny situations, bizarre scenarios, irritating moments, lovely lazy days and thoughts of tried it, done it, never again moments all add to the great holiday memories Ive brought back with me to the U.K  :) although maybe I would have been happier falling asleep to The Carnivals rendition of rocking in the free world lol! ;)

Just a further recommendation for the bar up on the headland. Didn't know it was called the Akrotiri but the views are fantastic and the place is like something out of a style magazine. Don't know how he's going to make his investment back - must have cost thousands.

Our routine was fresh orange juice on the way to Arillas and a nice cold Corfu beer on the way back - magical.

The bar down the headland on the Arillas side ain't bad either

We thought it was fantastic...the decor was so classy..I was looking round for re-furb ideas for when we got home! ;)

The whole idea of a forum is to exchange views amongst other adults. If people have a gripe, did'nt enjoy their meal or did not like their chosen accomodation then surely they should be able to express their opinion just has those who have enjoyed a meal etc are given the freedom to give praise.

I completely agree lilly, we went to San Stef last year for the first time only because after reading the reviews we thought the village was the place for us. We tried different places to eat on recomendation from the forum and was blown away with 99% of them. This year we gave the place we didnt rate last year another chance and yet again we were disappointed so we didnt go back. The forum is here to share negs/positives equally and judging by the reviews the positives out-weigh the negatives anyway otherwise I would never have returned this year with an extra 2 peeps in tow  8)

Stayed there last year and returning back to the barras this year.....love the resort....so completely hooked and George was lovely, infact yes youre right Jerry, everyone was so helpful and friendly

Thanks for the report Bristol boy.....glad you enjoyed yourselves.
Its good to have everyones take on the places to eat and Im sure we will be trying places that we didnt get round to last year.
I think its all about consistency when you are dealing with the public and eateries can not survive on their name alone....the service and food must be kept to a high quality for people to go back again and again. I hope the people at the Beachcomber have not become complacent and are hoping the excellent sunsets carry them through the summer months  :-\ . Ill let you all know in a couple of weeks  ;)

Yes Rod, last year! We only went after reading the reports on here and we were not disappointed!
Felt at home as soon as we landed  :). Although we went for 2 weeks last year we didnt try everywhere,so this year we will be trying the places that we missed previously and re-visiting the ones that made an impression! we were there last june and experienced a few choppy days on the beach and felt that another month may bring more settled weather and this year, I think its proving the case.So hopefully the digger on the beach will be packed away and we can zone out in solitude 8)
