Hi
I noticed a advert somewhere for mozzie repellent wrist bands.  Has anyone used or had any success with them?
Cheers

Ha ha, I crop up on quite a few of your pics, I am the tall guy in the black polo shirt and glasses.  We actually bumped chairs at the start of the night as you were getting up for a loo break and we had a brief chat about the village.  This was before we were all moved inside!!

Yes, it was a great night and very highly recommended!!

At least I know what you look like for next year!

Nice pictures Tony.

As a matter of interest, were you at the Theresa Greek night last Wednesday evening?

I was just about to ask the same question, lol!!
I have been looking at the webcam this morning and in the chat box someone has posted that they think the price is EU7.50 per bed.
Can any recent visitors confirm prices?
Many thanks

Where to stay / Fedra Mare / Perros ??
« on: January 13, 2011, 03:04:37 PM »
Good day all,
We (myself, wife and daughter) are ready to plan our 3rd successive visit to San Stefanos.

We have stayed at the Perros the last 2 years and have had 2 great holidays.  Last year the Perros was busy but not full (mid August) and there seemed to be a lack of youngsters around the pool for our daughter (5 yrs old) to meet and play with.  She is very happy to splash around the pool with us or even on her own but to me, holidays are about meeting people and making friends.  I know it is pot luck as to who will be there but we found most days that it was better to be around the Athina pool / beach area for obvious reasons.

This year we are thinking of the Fedra Mare as another option but will find it difficult not to return to the Perros.  Is the Fedra of a similar size and child friendly?  Also, do you think I am entitled to ask the respective hotels if there are any other families already booked at the time we are staying?

Any help / advice much appreciated.

Where to stay / Re: Where to Stay??

Hi to all, from a newbie

So glad I found this forum......Wanting to book a fornight in September in San Stefanos (self catering).  Only been to Corfu once years ago, we're big fans of Crete but would like a change and SS looks just the sort of place for us.  The only decision now is where.....  Have narrowed down to Tereza, Little Prince or Olga.  I appreciate everyone has their favourite, ideally it would be a decent sized room near to tavernas and beach, reasonable pool for actual swimming in, without any bar noise... I know, some people just want it all!  Would be very grateful for anyone's opinion on where to choose, prices all much of a muchness.

Many thanks and REALLY looking forward to the holiday.

Hi Chocs

Can I throw the Perros Hotel into the mix?

We visited for the first time last year and had such a great time, we have booked again for August this year.

Looking at your requirements it seems to tick most boxes.  Although it is a little further from the town centre than others you mention, the beach and tavernas are within a 5-8min walk.

Check out their website for more details.

Enjoy!!

bestforeign are definitely that! Currency arrived next morning at 7:45 !

Hi Jimbo
I assume you have used Best Currency?
I was thinking of doing so as their rate is most favourable but I am a little reluctant to part with my hard earned as I have not heard of them before.  I trust they are legit?
Cheers
