We do normally book seats with extra legroom as we are both very tall . Last year we were late in booking but made sure we got

them this year booked as soon as they went on sale .

On our way out last year we were in the row behind the extra legroom . There were two empty in that row .

O.H. asked if he could move and was politely told by stewardess that these people had paid extra to sit there and he hadn't .

He had to concede she was right

We are in the middle of deciding dates now from Edinburgh to Corfu and that will be that taken care of.

Hanging fire until December as hopefully Ryanair  will update their flights to Chania .

As it stands from Gatwick it is around £450 each  plus flights and a hotel  where as a couple of years ago it was less than £600 for the two of us from Prestwick to Chania .

A friend who is trying to book Chania for August has written to them so we await their reply no doubt she will be fobbed of as well.

They are only flying the same from Glasgow to Chania -- July do they think that is the only time we go on holiday.

Disappointed to say the least when they announced the changes it appeared as if it was going to be a better service.

Looks like Newcastle for us to Corfu and either Gatwick or Manchester to Chania . Grrrrr makes me so angry.

Anyone booked flights with Ryanair from Prestwick to Corfu next year ?

I have been trying to get flights from early  June to Corfu and Chania Crete at beginning of September.

Only able to access the month of July . On phoning Ryanair fobbed of with flights are not uploaded until six months before asked why their flights

from other UK airports were available and was fobbed of as if I was seeing thinks.

Wondering if they are only going to be flying for a few weeks at the peak period.

Surely we are not the only ones wanting to holiday at these times of year.

Hi,
Yes we have four or five times  at Gatwick we thought it was great as we had travelled down  the day before --walked right up to the desk

checked in  no bother at all. Next morning when we arrived the place was chock a block with people waiting to check in -- we would highly

recommend it .

We have been to San Stefanos many times since we fell in love with the Greek Islands almost forty years ago.

Stayed at Margaritas a few years ago and they are fantastic and as Jimbo says the views from upstairs are breath taking  ---you are literally seconds from a beautiful sandy beach.

Supermarket practically next door and of plenty tavernas to eat out and bars for a nightcap . What else do you need.

It is a magical place as far as we are concerned.

Once you have been you want to go back time and time again.

Enjoy !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Friends of ours flew with Germania to Greece this year and had nothing but praise for them .

They felt they were a lot better  than Thomsons and on board service much superior .

Kefalonia was  like that when we first went there in 1983 .

One small supermarket and a few tavernas in Lassi went back about five years later en route to Skala and couldn't believe

how it had grown can't imagine what it is like now it was the year before our first visit to San Stefanos.

Where to stay / Re: Leonidas Villas
« on: November 13, 2012, 05:20:20 PM »

Thanks for much for Bee that would suit them fine . The last time they were there was a few years ago.

I still think they will be able to manage up towards Olympia and Little Prince at night but better to be safe

than sorry .

Now to find out if Ryanair is flying from Prestwick this year .

Would some one do me a big favour and tell  me where these are situated please ?

They look as if they would suit my parents just what they like individual  villas are they

near the beach and a supermarket.

They are not capable of walking to far so thought these might suit. They love a beach holiday

with supermarket and eating out places all near to their accommodation.

It is a few years since we have been in SS have been to many other Greek Islands but hope

to visit next year.

Thanks,

Hi again,
If you email Kevin at Grey Cat he will answer all your questions.

I am not sure about pools as we tend to stay in small studio/apartment blocks  Mastahari  has a big sandy beach..
