Where to stay / Re: Kapetanios
« on: September 07, 2012, 04:42:28 PM »
Stayed at the kaptanios last summer with friends .The place was fine except the man there never spoke to us once.Unless you jumped up and down in front of him.He even turned his back on us at times to avoid talking.Stay at the romanza loads better. They are really great and will make sure you have a good time.

The avliotes bypass is not finished due to the fact the builder hasnt not been paid so he has left a big gap in the road making it impassable.Non of the greek workmen have been paid even though they worked on it they were paid up to a certain point and then they got no more due to the greek government lack of payment. Now the builder has put boulders along the road where the gap was  to stop use of the road.I know this as my good
friends husband as one of the greek people to work on it and I have just come back from there.Dont hold your breathe for either events to occur.

Asked recently  at the Romanza on this and was told that it is not now going ahead. And if you think about it how could it.Due to the financial situation in greece.

Information and help please / Re: Nice and quiet?
« on: May 18, 2012, 12:59:59 PM »
The whole of san stefano is a fairly laid back approach to life. The bars tend to be the same they dont blare music out all evening but have odd bursts of entertainment so you can do a bit of greek dancing. If I remember I asked Dimitri at the little prince and he said they are not allowed to make any noise after midnight or they would get in trouble. It is unlike sidari which has music and discos all night until the early hours of the following day.San stefanos is definitely for the ones who like it quieter.Like me.Its a wonderful place to go and you certainly wont be disappointed.Enjoy.

Out and About / Re: How I found San Stefanos.!!!
« on: May 15, 2012, 11:37:34 AM »
I found san stefano 11years ago.My son and I are avid walkers the rest of the family have lost interest to a certain degree. So we got a Thomsons brochure on grece and I opened the page at just anywhere and it opened on the hotel romanza and it said it was ideal for walking so that was it.Eleven years later I still go on my own and now I dont work I can go for 3 weeks of utter peace and relaxation.I have a rest to start with then go walking all over and have even got lost and spent 9 hours walking!!!!!But I have not ever been scared whilst out walking and have been greeted with nothing but kindness and presents of grapes oranges and water. The greek people always say hello.I adore the place and wouldnt go anywhere else but corfu now.The food and mythos are just the icing on the cake.

Out and About / Re: Cliff Path
« on: May 15, 2012, 11:24:01 AM »
Last thing I heard they were trying to find who owned the land the back of the path to re route put as yet have been unable to .In october last year the path was way to dangerous to use as it had gone right back to the fence. But there were some silly people still trying to cross over even though it was crumbling before your eyes.It is a wonderful walk but way to dangerous to use.Hopefully they can sort out a safe path soon..

I love Little Prince it is a great place to stay.Dimitri and mike are really kind and helpful the food is great and so is the wine I can recommend the Boutari wine I always sample it when I have a meal in the evening.Dimitri and his wife work very hard as all the staff do to ensure your holidays meets your expectations. Can highly recommend The Little Prince.Check tripadvisor for more info .And enjoy your holidays at the little prince...

« on: February 16, 2012, 10:08:38 PM »
San stefanos is shut as far as I know in winter I suppose its ok if you drive so you can go to sidari for your shopping. My doctor has told me to go over for the winter because of health issues. So I am hoping to do that but have to find some form of income.I can get somewhere to live but its money none knows any rich greek man who needs a nurse do you.I cannot think of a better place to live I love san stefanos.
