Visiting in June for the first time since 2019 and we're expecting things to have changed and to be more expensive. I'm aware that the Little Prince has changed hands and there's a new place opposite Olympia but that's about the limit of my knowledge. What am I missing? Any pointers much appreciated.
A few changes since 2019 Tredegar Boy, as you suspect prices have increased quite a bit since then, with rises particularly in 2022 and 2023. However it’s still much better value than a lot of other resorts in Europe.

Cicala is the new restaurant opposite Olympia.

Beachcomber is now Sandhills (ran by the hideaway bar team so hideaway is no longer)

New restaurant last year next to Silver Star (old 2 stars) called Spetseriko

New coffee and desert place Sweet Spot opened last year in a new building behind Barras.

There are probably some other changes I’ve forgotten, but a lot of familiar faces at the same tavernas too.

Little Prince apartments still being ran by the family, but they posted on Facebook that the taverna, cocktail bar and pool bar is being rented out. Aris and Maria and Co  from Barolo are taking over the running of those.

It will be interesting as Barolo was a completely different establishment to Little Prince taverna. To fill Little Prince tables I think they will have to stay with more catering to the masses.

What a gorgeous day there in SS on the beach, lovely colours in the sea, so clear.
Yeah, and a high of 20C today according to accuweather, but rest of the week drops down to a high of 13C to 15C. Not long now though until the season starts, I’m guessing it will be the beginning of May for the first package holidays?

Kamini bar for pre-dinner glass of wine and sometimes post dinner, because it’s generally quite peaceful and Mrs J enjoys Michalis own wine from his vines. Plus we pass it walking to and from Fedra!

Little Prince Cocktail bar for post dinner cocktails because generally the cocktails are well made, though Sandhills has also become a cocktail stop.

Saw that, Barolo will be missed. Menu was always that little bit different and elevated. Hopefully Aris will bring some of Barolo’s influence to Little Prince taverna. Either way am sure it will be great

Despite now being child free we are stuck with schools hols and associated prices because wife works at a school. So we book independent and I hunt for cheapest flights.
Jet2 flights from East Mids is our preference but this year they were £600 more (for two of us) than Ryanair from East Mids so Ryanair it is.
Wife breaks up from school on Wednesday 23rd July and we fly out morning of Friday 25th to the amazing Fedra for two weeks. Can’t wait!

A few weeks ago my youngest daughter announced that she and her boyfriend were going to SS for a week on 7th October. I did query her choice as she has only been in July or August, but they’ve had a great week with only one day of rain on Wednesday and a local friend took them out that day.
Her boyfriend,(his first visit to Corfu), confidently proclaimed before they left that he didn’t get bitten by mozzies.
Turns out he does so was glad of the mozzie milk I supplied 😂

Ditto Winkie, drives me crazy, use ear pods or whatever. Don’t impose your choice of music on others. One of the reasons we stay at Fedra, as you know Dimitri would stamp it out straight away! We are there now…… super chilled and wonderful as ever.

Fedra  eh , our favourite for a good few years, lovely owners and pool, Im sure you will be well looked after.
We first managed to get in there in 2021, when traveller numbers reduced because of covid rules/testing. So this year will be our fourth stay. Can’t imagine staying anywhere else now. Always looked after, the breakfasts are ridiculous!
