San Stefanos Online ~ North West Corfu

Getting ready for our first spell this year in SS. We are travelling out on Viking Airways from Gatwick.  Airlines seem to be tightening up on the luggage allowance and Viking want £5/kg each way over 15kg.  In addition they state only 5kg of hand luggage. Has anyone any recent experience if these limits are strictly adhered to.  I suppose I should be more concerned about Ash and the Greeks have a Air Traffic Contollers strike but wouldn't mind knowing.  I will let you know how the new season feels when I return on 24th May!

Don't be caught out by the likes of Sleazyjet and O'Ryan Air on hand luggage

Their hand luggage max sizes are often smaller than other airlines, and they will sting you
to take it on board even if it is that tiny bit bigger  

Fingers crossed there is not a general strike there on Monday - all flights today cancelled to Greece.

Difficult to book independant flights less than 6 months or so in advance though (Easyjet etc) !

Ive been sent an email from my Thomson holiday thing and looking at the excursion they're offering "Theo's BBQ/Boat Ride" Im in 2 minds about going for it.
On the one hand it seems like a good day out - entertaining and food and drinks included ..
.. on the other hand I dont want to be sat on a boat crammed with 18 yr old tanned & chisselled girls and boys feeling like the pale flabby tourist!
I am a bit self concious I suppose but still - I cant seem to find any honest reviews about the trip that contain much useful info.

It appears to be rather expensive (£79 for the 2 of us) but inclusive of food and drinks that is good really. Theres also a "sundowner" trip that sounds nice for £48 per person. But I wonder if Sally will have something like that cheaper.

Plus I cant tell what hotels they pick up from - as we dont drive we cant hire a car. Thinking about hiring a boat one of the days though!
