I think if we hired bikes it would give everyone a laugh as we tried to cycle around in the heat and up the hills. We always go for the quads - we are not nutters on them and do only go at a lowish speed.

There are mountain bikes to hire from just about everywhere (I think they were 4 euro a day at the mo)
We had a quad bike from Spiros. All I can say is superb. It was just as new (Now has lots of miles on the clock!!!! :D) Definately safer than a scooter. Only problem was as much as I tried to miss the potholes the bike just got drawn towards them, especially after the missus complained about the numb backside!! :D

I know exactly where she is coming from from . We just stop every so often to stretch our legs and then we are ready for a few more miles. Great fun if you are careful :)

Whilst on the subject of hiring things, I've been in touch with Noula today at San Stef travel, and booked my Jeep for July, no deposit was taken, I just have to pay when I pick the Jeep up, we even get a free child seat!! can't say fairer than that can you?!  8)

Hi Belgianram, welcome back to the forum.
We have a couple of members just returned from San Stefanos so hopefully they can give this years prices,
although I believe they are still the same as last season.
Zoe? Chris2? any prices please.

I think Shellbell and Cockney in Hull hired a quad this year. Last year we paid €25 euros for 1 day hire .

That price is really good. A quad bike can cost €30 a day.

I think they advertise at €30 but if you stay at Teresa you get a discount as well.

We hired a quad for a week as my partner can't walk far due to having surgery and we got a decent price (well, I believe it to be decent, as I spent over 2 hours haggling with all of them  ;D ).
We opted for Pegasus (next door to the Condor) and had the 100cc quad for 7 days at a total cost of €90.
We went all over the island on it and only cost €10 to fill the tank for the entire period.

Well worth doing in my opinion.

Hired bike from Spiro's for 3 days last year - price was very reasonable and the mountain bike was in good condition and plan to hire from there again next week - as I tend to go well outside the resort I always go prepared for punctures, although escaped one last year  8) (spanner, inner tube & tyre levers). If you're planning to go outside the resort I hope you like hills!!!  Only slight minus was bikes didn't have bottle cages, so meant carrying drink in rucksack.

Spiros still has a good selection of bikes for hire!!
They all look in good condition, but you must be a lot younger and fitter than me!!
Strictly with an engine - for me -  these days now!! LOL
Have a great holiday!!
