Autan is very good when you're out in the evening, but don't forget to have plug in repellents in your apartment to keep the little blighters from biting while you're asleep.

We are here now and i only ever use high protection Jungle spray now, ive had two bites in five days which is pretty good going for me as i used to be plastered in them! I also use plug ins and wash wish lemon flavoured shower gel, dont wear any perfume either which tends to to attract them xxx

Use air conditioning in your apartment, set it to 20c the little buggers hate it!

Jungle spray from boots is best out and about and the jungle spray after sting is also very good.

Just back a week and had 1 mozzie bite. We buy equivalent of autan at  aspa supermarket, it seems more effective. Also use plug ins and spray the room with insect room spray before we go out. I believe they have sprayed the island this year, so we didn't encounter too many. :)

Avon "skin so soft" body wash (pink container) seems to keep them at bay. Fragrance is not too feminine so men can use it too! It took years to get my husband to use it, but one year after he got bitten and I didn't (usually the other way round) he agreed to try it, and now won't use anything else! Their dry oil spray is pretty good too( no, I'm NOT an Avon rep!) Agree that wearing perfume in the evenings is a no-no.

I do wear perfume in the evening and don't have a problem, but maybe depends on the perfume you use.

Yip eBay or Amazon, my wife reacts really badly to bites, ends up at the doctors with big blisters where the bites are,  but using this she has been bite free.

This year we had the nightmare scenario of waking up in the early hours with one buzzing in our faces. Chances of seeing it - slim to nil so wrapped the sheets round tightly and went back to sleep. In the morning it was laying dead on the bed next to my hubby - he had obviously swatted it. How he did that in the dark and half asleep I'll never know!

Lots of people like Mossie Milk bought off Amazon. We use Jungle Formula plug ins and roll on Jungle Formula. Seems to do the trick for us
