Brusko got rave reviews last year as did Beer O Clock.
Another popular spot was Silver Star, now under the management of Spiros who used to be at Athina. Folk were raving about his waffles and also a great spot for people watching.

Didn't eat at Chilli Chilli as didn't fancy it. The menu was very limited and they didn't have any glasses to serve beer in when we visited!

Silver Star was always a good spot to people watch, but had lost its way a little until last year. Now very good again, and a good stop for a pre dinner drink.

Agree with this. We called in on our last night last year and tried the waffles, kids and the wife loved them whilst I had a pint and listened to the excellent singer that was on in El Greco. On our list again this year.

Brusko is opposite Thomas Bay Hotel, between Acabar and Zorbas

Is it the one that looked a bit like a car showroom and used to be an Italian? Not that it matters, its not like it will take any finding-thats why we love SS, nothing does take any finding. Its the best place in the world not to have 6 foot tall mice roaming around... ;D

Wouldn't have said looked like a car showroom but yes was the Italian. Great food there

And it used to be Bar 38 before they moved across the street

I can't remember that!! Think it's always been where it is now since we've been going (2010)

That's what we're saying Chrissie. It was Bar 38, then Italian, then Chinese (or other way around) and now Brusko.

Maybe Hobbes means the old Mediterranean Village place, Jules? Because of the decor I always thought it was Italian and it was rather large, open and bright like a showroom. If i've been following conversations right on other sites this year it will be where 2 stars has moved to.
