Folks looking for a sneaky week in October,can someone tell us when the shops and restaurants finally close down for the season,dont want to come to a ghost town.

Going on Memory it all closes down on the end of third week in Oct, but places start to close after the first week in Oct,
bit like early May in the Village. Should be enough people and places open to make it worthwhile.

I think early October would be OK Winkie J, but from reports mid October some may be closing down

Some tavernas may close towards the end of September, but loads still open until the bitter end.

After the first week of October most eating places open are those with apartments  - and Tasty Corner and the Pizza place of course!! It's fun watching as places start to close down.

A quickie recce through resort today (obviously forget village (Avliotes) unless you have a car or take the local bus where all is all up an running as normal for 12 months of the year) but in the resort here there in cake shop, Havianias, Illasis Taverna the old Post Office, Landos for drinks plus all normal services including the chemist, the post office etc etc so today in the holiday resort we found as follows open:_
Summer Dreams
Beer O' clock
Thomas Bay
Athina Hotel
Nafsika Hotel
Supermarkets both Aspa and San Stefanos Market
Town Pizza
Grill room opp Athina Bar
Manos Car hire
3 W's
Other independent booking hotels...
In the harbour the shack for drinks (normally open until 14.00 hrs weather permitting)
Paula (Gift shop) closes tomorrow
Taste of Life Gift Shop open
Juice bar open
Olympia Taverna
Elizabeths
Bakery
Mini Market next door to Bakery
Vasia for gifts
Condor
Spiros Bikes

We didn't go everywhere so maybe others also open and apologise if not included  this was just a quick recce.......
