What is security checks like since new rules regarding iPads iPods mobile phones ,has anyone had any problems.We are arriving August 4th.

At Gatwick (outward flight) three weeks ago, had to carry Ipad separately and had to take it out of its case going through security, mobiles were not looked at.
Same story at Corfu (return flight) airport a couple of days ago.

We came out from Birmingham a week or so ago and it was horrendous getting through security. the queues were so long that we only had time to grab a quick drink before we had to board and we had left plenty of time. It was not helped by the number of people who did not get ready to put their things in a tray until they were at the search point. All lap tops and ipods etc had to put in a separate tray. it seemed to take forever!

Laptops have always had to be taken out, and usually, but not always, Kindles.
No problems at Doncaster - in fact faster than usual. No problems at Corfu apart from it being like a sauna!

Corfu is not the best of airports is it. Just came back couple of weeks ago and they had the usual queues outside the airport, fortunately we went straight through!! Didn't see any problems either with electronics etc.
