Title: Any views appreciated!!
Post by: A.S on July 21, 2011, 02:00:02 PM
Hi,

We are newbies to San Stefanos but hoping to book this weekend as we like the area when visiting a few years ago for lunch! After looking through many websites/holidays/review sites we have realised our budget in August (first week hopefully) can stretch to the following; Olga, Eleni, Barras or Little Prince apartments. Any views on these to help the decision???? I know where I think!! All sound good but it is so hard to chose from pictures and reviews are so mixed!

We love meeting new people, lazing by the pool/beach in the day, sightseeing a few days and eating and drinking all nights. We stayed at The Waves (near Sidari) a few years back and loved it so much; relaxation and sunsets followed by lovely food and a few cheeky drinks in Sidari after! We are simplistic people who like the evenings to socialise but do not want anything as busy as Sidari itself!

Any suggestion about where to stay or info on good location etc would be great. Thanks  :)

I have stayed at the Barras many times in the past and would happily recommend it to anyone.

We would recommend the Barras or Little Prince, both are really good, and better located.
Barras Apartments are older well fitted out and very spacious, very comfortable.
Little Prince more modern and equally comfortable.
Both families who run the venues are really nice and can't do enough for you.
I doubt you will get any bad reviews on either.
The choice is yours - if you pushed me - and the price is not an issue - Little Prince wins by a very short head.
I would stay in either and the price would only dictate if a big margin!

Thanks Jimbo and Tonyco1! I guess it will be down to who would offer the best deal with check out times as we will probably have the night flight/early morning flight. Don't mind paying just don't want to be kicked out at 12.00 the afternoon and we waiting around on sunbeds until the mini bus arrives!

Great advice and I will now be happy to book either. much appreciated, good advice  :)

You can usually arrange a late check-out for a small fee.

Just got home. Bit of a weather shock.

I asked Dimitris about late rooms - Little Prince you can keep your room until 6pm for 20 Euros.

More tomorrow....

AS

We're in Olgas just now for the 4th year. No room at the Inn I'm afraid, place is full with new and repeat visitors. Try Maria at Kappa Travel or Cerys at San Stef travel for any late avaiability in the village. There are rooms to be had if you can get a flight.

U can PM Cerys on this forum or try her at...

There are places for all budgets as I found out when speaking with them on Thurs.

Hope this helps
