hi helen maybe we will be bumping into you then cos we like a walk to arillas, the walk along the cliff is beautiful,we've only been once last year, can you recomend any excursions to take
-
Hi lisak 123
there is a new bar/restaurant opening near the church on the cliff path, so that makes 2 extra stops and a longer walk ;)
have a look at the excursions at san stef travel, don't book with the reps (rip off)
the island tour is a good one, a full day lots to see and do :) we fancy a trip over to the local islands this year as that is one of the few we haven't done, the weather looks great for the next few weeks.
Have a walk in to the olive groves in the evenings and you might be lucky enough to see the fairies (fireflies) we have never been at this time of year before so really hoping to see them
Have a great time !

Try the trip to Pantokrater. On a clear day you can see the whole of Corfu Island, Italy and Albania, fantastic views. Then on to Perithia, a deserted Corfiot Village, where over 1500 people used to live, very interesting. I think the trip only goes on Sundays. Book at KappaVita Travel.
Also the trip to Kassiopi which passes through Roda & Acharavi is very good. It is a lovely harbour with lots of tavernas and quite a few shops.

Been over last to Ericousa island on a boat trip through Noula at San Stef travel, lovely trip and island. We will do the two island trip to Mathraki and Ericousa this year, again with San Stef travel. They also do a boat trip down to Paleokastritsa which we did three years ago. Also a nice trip. San Stef can also organise car hire at reasonable rates if you fancy it Driving can be interesting but you soon get used to the roads!(Also Arillas car hire and SanStefanos car hire in the village are good)
San Stef travel also do shopping trips to Corfu(well worth a visit) or you take the local bus(nice experience but the Bus Station in the Town is a bit of a scrum. The Albanian trip was also good but is long day.
The bottom line is, don't be tempted to book through the reps, you'll save quite a bit on trips and car hire locally.

Must concur with all the above - especially regarding the Thomsons/Portland/Thomas Cook etc, trips!
Big price hike and sold by saying the others are not insured - total rubbish!
All San Stefanos travel & Kappavita trips are totally insured and good value - don't waste money - especially this year!
-
Have to totally agree about the trips - just go with the local companies - better prices for the same trips and with a more personal touch as well from the staff. Reps just come and go each year and although they give a good talk on the various trips they have never been on them and often get descriptions wrong.

I hope that's not me and Don you are referring to!! LOL
Although Don is more in touch with his feminine side than I am, and he does look sweet with his wings on!!
